My first impressions about this radio was better than I expected, I was thinking that the radio was actually going to be larger than I expected but that didn't turn out to be true(about the size of a milk crate). This will be great for working in the yard, tailgating, or taking to the beach or lake. If you want to use it without it having to be plugged in you will need to purchase a tool battery separately, I don't have any Bosch power tools so i had to purchase a lithium battery and i went ahead and got the 6.0 amp hr 18v lithium ion battery which is another $96.03 on top the unit just so it can be used on the go. I did notice that this model does not come with the features that the previous model that this unit replaced which is why i knocked it down one star. But all in all I like the radio and hope to get many years of great use.
Pros:
Rugged
Great features (Bluetooth)
Good solid construction
Hours of sounds without having it plugged in
The sound does not stop when you transition from being plugged in to battery power
Cons:
Media door is probably going to be too small for most phones
I would like for the screen to be slightly better with the ability to read out what song is playing.
Lacks features from the previous model (PB360D) which included 2 aux imports, 12v plug, audio out, wireless remote, sd card reader, docking station for xm radio, and 50 watts of sound compared to this model which has 26 watts.
This thing has changed the way I work around the house. That may sound extreme, but as an aspiring handyman and journeyman weightlifter with a home gym and a serious fondness for music, it's true. This radio is Bosch quality and style all the way around, meaning it's extremely solid and very user-friendly.
So, the build quality: excellent, as far as I can tell. I've put this thing through its paces for several months now, and haven't had even the slightest hiccup out of it. This thing is heavy. I mean it. It's a chunk. We call it the Whale Box. It's a beast. You'll be glad for the carrying handle on the top. The actual box itself doesn't ever touch the ground. The rails running around it keep the box suspended between them no matter what side you lay it on. The subwoofer is on the bottom, so when set upright, it'll fire down into whatever surface you've set it on, giving it good sound and surprising presence for its size. I play bass guitar, and I'm impressed by the bottom-end power this thing can produce, especially for its size. Just set the EQ to 'Rock' and wait for your neighbors to complain or compliment. Depends on the neighbor, I suppose. I suggest having a drink ready for them either way.
On to the functions, then. You can sync your phone to it over Bluetooth (flawless syncing, by the way), use it as an AM/FM radio (fold-down antenna included), plug in a USB flash drive full of music, or use the included male-to-male aux cable to attach pretty much any music player you want. There is even a sealable bay on the side to store and protect your music player or flash drive. If you're going to use a flash drive, it needs to be a very short one, as the bay door closes down and leaves no room for a longer one. I guess you could use a longer drive and just leave the door open, but flash drives are so cheap now I don't a reason to not buy one just for this box.
This box is the command center for your Bosch tools. It has a backlit clock with a AA battery backup. There's a charging bay in the back that accepts Bosch 18v batteries. Plug the box into the wall and charge a battery while you use the others and enjoy some music. Like the aux bay, it has a door and will close over the smaller batteries. The other side has a pair of spring-loaded flaps that cover a pair of three-prong outlets each. They're all 120v AC, and the box tells you that the outlets will put out a combined max of 10 amps. And, if you download the Bosch app, you can even use this little dude as a PA. Imagine the possibilities.
Seriously. Get yourself a Bosch drill and driver set, a circular saw (preferably the worm gear version, if you can afford it), and a reciprocating saw and there won't be much you can't handle in short order.
None of this is to say that Bosch is the ultimate tool company. It definitely has its problems and its competitors. Milwaukee, Makita, and DeWalt all make outstanding products. Hilti is almost objectively better, but you'll certainly pay for it. Festool is the same way. But, to me, Bosch has the best and most accessible overall combination. At least for now.
Power, great ergonomics, flexibility, and value. I can't ask for much more.
Love this unit. We have a workshop just over 3000 ft.² and it fills that area with music no problem. Love the Bluetooth technology and the USB port for charging cell phones etc. as well as the 4 additional 110 plugs.
Oooooo mama, I LOVE THIS PUPPY!!!
Where do i start???
the speakers are plenty powerful and the sound quality is great. There are equalizer options to fine tune the sound quality, and you even have the ability to set custom bass/treble levels into memory. Overall, the sound quality is not "quite" Bose quality, but it is very good. The multi directional speakers radiate sound in all directions which is perfect for a jobsite radio. The subwoofer has decent bass, which is hard to do outside in a small unit like this. If you aren't happy with the sound, i gotta believe you have unrealistic expectations, Jack!
The thoughtfulness of the design is incredible-- the protective cage is very well built and will protect the radio from items crashing into it. Heck, even the LCD screen has small metal bumpers just in case a rogue tool finds its way thru the cage! Some designer figured out a way around the accountants, because nothing about this is made cheaply. Penny pinching Accountants ruin most designs, but not this one. There are 4 power ports so after you run an extension cord to the radio, you can plug stuff into the radio for power. The bluetooth works awesome with my iPhone. It has a media compartment where you can charge a phone via USB and keep it protected from dust, etc. (full disclosure: media compartment wont hold an iphone 6plus). The radio will run for hours on one charge from a bosch battery, and also charge said battery after it sucked it dry in a charging compartment! Genius!
The radio reception is very good, which was important to me because i like to listen to baseball games while working outside. The radio also has memory presets, although the tuner quickly spins to the station you need to get to.
This was a great purchase... I highly recommend it.
My first review of this item was not good (you can see my initial review below). I did however change my opinion of the product after dealing with Bosch's customer service. After our radio stopped working just a few months after purchasing it we contacted Bosch. They were apologetic, friendly, and helpful. We were given a free return label and asked to ship the radio to them for repairs free of charge. The refurbished radio was returned to us within a week. We do like this radio. All around it is a great jobsite radio. I will only give it four stars though (this second time around on the review board) because of the inconvenience it was to have it stop working so soon after pucphase.

Loved this radio until it stopped working. I bought this as a gift for my husband. He has used it two or three times each week since we got it. It is now June and it no longer works. Pretty expensive radio for only a few months lifespan.

This is an excellent tool for work, home, park, camping, etc. On the jib site it allows tools to be plugged into it, saving extension cord outlets, it also charges a phone, and is a true multimedia product. It's also tough - it fell off a truck with barely a scratch, and was still playing when we picked it up. I can't say enough about this. Itls been used every day since I got it as a Father's day present from my dog, Molly.
I bought the PB360-C to replace a PB360-D I had for 6 years, that developed some problems. Both models are the same except for some differences. The PB360-C's Bluetooth is very easy to connect with my HP laptop as well as my iPhone 7+. The sound quality of the speakers and subwoofer is excellent. I consider this model the best jobsite radio by far. At 25lbs, it is a little heavy and bulky, but I still give it 5 stars. It is that good!
This music maker does everything well. AM/FM receptions is good, time and station readout is good, the blue tooth function is easy, the cell phone charger is great, the 18 volt battery charger is good and the four electric receptacles are very handy. The only thing I have not tried is throwing it off the table to test the durability.
Good, powerful box but the app is not so cool and Bluetooth on my MotoX can't find it half the time. Never stays connected. The radio function is weak. Can't get a lot of stations with the light weight antennae unless I camp in the radio station parking lot. :) Best bet is to connect with cables. I still like the unit and the PA function in the app was cool when it worked!
Well made worksite radio/charger. Very good rollcage. As advertised EXCEPT; GIVE UP ALL HOPE OF EVER USING BLUETOOTH ! I had 'techy' young people try to get it working after I gave up all hope. NO GO!! Bosch should have held back product release on this one until they fixed it. This only only hurts their otherwise good name.
