I love this jacket, looks great and fit is pretty good. Rain/water kind of wicks off from it. I normally wear a large, so that's what I ordered
I asked my husband to try out this Blue Chill Stand Collar Military Tactical Jacket. At first, he thought it was just a basic jacket. But the more often he wore it, the more he appreciated its quality and many features. Beginning with the sizing, this Blue Chill jacket fits his lean shape comfortably. Although the cut is trim fit, he says it does not feel too snug at all. The sleeve and hem lengths are adequate and do not ride up when the jacket is zippered. The sleeve wrist cuffs also have adjustable velcro closures. The jacket bottom hem has an adjustable drawstring. There are 2 zippered side pockets and a zippered chest pocket. Zippered jacket pockets are a must for my husband as he likes to be sure that his phone and keys stay secure. The material (94% Polyester, 4% Spandex) is smooth, lightweight, and works well as an outer layer. When zippered up, the jacket’s high collar keeps out the chill nicely. Note that although the zipper is on the left side versus the right side unlike most men’s jackets, my husband got used to it without any issues. The jacket itself also looks very sharp in person and, in my husband’s opinion, much better than in the Amazon model photo. Overall, this started out as a 4 star jacket, but became a 5 star the more often my husband wore it over the last few weeks.
This is a nice softshell jacket that is very similar in design and quality to name brand items I've had from Columbia and such brands. It has a number of features showing nice attention to detail: a small flap will cover the zipper pull when it's zipped all the way up to keep it from rubbing your neck; the waist has a built-in bungee cord strap to tighten it so that cold air doesn't enter at the waist; the sleeve cuffs have velcro straps for tightening at the wrist; the zippered chest pocket is great for cell phone storage; and the inside has several mesh lining pockets. The outer material is smooth and handsome, and the inside is lined with soft comfy fleece. The jacket fits as sized and has a clean look and fit. The jacket repels water very well but is not very windproof - and that's my only knock on the jacket overall. It's noticeably less resistant to wind than my other softshell jackets, which is a plus and a minus: it's more breathable, making it less prone to overheating if you're exercising, but it's also not as warm. Therefore, I'd recommend this for active use or wear in cool temps, but not truly cold weather. Overall, a good looking and well made jacket for milder temps.
The Blue Chill Men's Stand Collar Waterproof Solfshell Coat Military Tactical Outdoor Jacket is made of 96% polyester/4% spandex shell, with a fleece liner that's 100% polyester. It's made in China. The medium size fits as expected. It has two stardard 'hand' pockets on the exterior, as well as one front jacket that roughly lies over one's heart. There is a drawstring on the bottom and each cuff has velcro for the colder days when you want a tighter fit. Overall, this is a basic, no-frills jacket that would be good for weather down to the 50s (if not working outside). Maybe 40s if you're walking around or doing some form of exercise. Recommended!
Very nice slim fitting jacket thats good for all but the coldest winter months here in New England.
