AmazonBasics High-Speed Mini-HDMI to HDMI Cable - 10 Feet 10 pack

Does exactly what I need it to do! Plugs into my Tablet and my TV just fine - Can watch my HULU TV thru it - Make life easier for me! LOL

I bought a new Lenovo ThinkVision P27h 27" QHD monitor. Max resolution is 2560x1440 @ 60Hz.
I am running it off of an older nVidia Geforce 640 v2. The video card only has DVI and Mini-HDMI, whereas the monitor only has USB-C, DP, and HDMI. I bought this cable to go from the Mini-HDMI to HDMI.
When I first got it working, the computer was only recognizing and recommending 1920x1080 as the max resolution. It was a beautiful picture, but not the resolution I wanted. The QHD (2K) resolution was not an option. I had to go into nVidia's control panel and create a custom resolution.
At first, 2560x1440 @ 60Hz was very blurry. I tried playing around with different refresh rates, but none of them cleared up the picture. Scrolling a bit farther down on nVidia's control panel, there was a section for "Timing". Everything was set to "Automatic", which is typically a safe bet for most things, so I was starting to think this cable was the problem even though it is spec'd to handle 4K resolutions.
I decided to go into the Timing section and see what would happen. There are default presets such as: GTF, DMT, CVT, etc. As soon as I tried GTF, the picture instantly cleared up and presented what I was expecting. I also tried DMT and got the same clean results.

So if you have a problem using this cable with higher resolution displays, be sure to check the nitty-gritty of your video card settings.
My setup:
- Windows 10 Professional, v1803, 64-bit
- nVidia Geforce 640 v2, driver 391.35
- Lenovo ThinkVision P27h monitor

It's a bit premature to comment about any other parts of the cable, such as durability and whatnot. However, I'm giving it 5-stars because you can pay ungodly high prices for super fancy cables that possibly offer no tangible benefit. For this cable to be less than $5, I am NOT complaining!

I left a 5 star review because technically this was my mistake and the product looks like it would hold up well. However I actually needed a MICRO HDMI not this one which is called a MINI. I should have done more research. I hope this helps someone. I bought this for my Lenovo Yoga Book with a MICRO HDMI so this one obviously didn't work.

Works great with a tablet to watch streaming internet shows on TV

I can now plug my Nikon D5500 right into my TV to review my pictures and movies.

Description

An Amazon Brand.

I needed this and fast and I'm so glad I found it when I did. I had to shoot a wedding and also set up a photobooth with a display that allowed the subject(s) to view their photo immediately after being taken. This cable solved the problem I was having with my setup. Just plug it into your camera and TV then set your TV to the correct HDMI input and you're good to go! This basically saved my butt and the photobooth was a hit.

This review is for the AmazonBasics HL-007342 High-Speed Mini-HDMI to HDMI Cable. I bought this because the other one I tried first did not work due to a manufacturing flaw. This less expensive AmazonBasics unit works fine. It is not as well made, but at least it works and does meet specs that seem to require more expensive models. Like several I have seen online and in stores, this unit has a rather short length from the shielding out to the end of the plug. Some models are longer, and this turns out to be important for keeping it securely plugged in for some devices (like mine). To improve it, I trimmed back the plastic sheathing about a 16th inch so I can get it plugged in all the way to keep it tight. I would buy another of these if needed, and would recommend it to others unless it would be used where a lot wear on the plug or cord would be an issue.

I use this cable to connect my Canon EOS T2i Rebel DSLR to a monitor so I can view how the shots looks in my video productions. It is extremely affordable and perfect for my application.

If you're into video creation or even photography, this cable can aid you by giving you a chance to connect to a monitor and review pictures in greater detail; or view recorded video to help ensure you captured the best images for your project.

So I went online and was like, "I need a wire." I went on amazon, typed 'wire for my monitor', clicked the first link and waited 345,600 seconds for it to be delivered. I had my legal pistol ready in my home just encase America tries to take my guns away. Got the wire, plugged it in and I think it worked. It was months ago.

I have an 11.6" tablet. When I want to watch something on my 70" non-Smart TV, I have to have this plug. Everything was great. However, the image on my TV was darker than the image on my tablet. I probably could have adjusted the brightness on the TV, but was too lazy to do so.
