The first one of these that I bought was defective. I got it, charged it, installed it and the motion detector kept tripping so that would turn on for the 20 or so seconds, then turn off, and immediately turn back on for 20 seconds. This would continue until I just turned it off. I returned the light and the replacement works great in the same space, so I'm positive I just got a defective one.
The light is perfect for my 2'x4' coat closet and I love that the motion sensor allows me to not have to switch it on. It was also important to me to find one that I could recharge because I really didn't want to burn through AA batteries.
One thing I did was to drill through the metal bar that comes with the light and screw it into the ceiling, because I'd heard how unreliable the double sided tape could be. This worked really well for me, but I understand that not everyone wants to drill through the metal bar, or screw into their ceiling. I didn't experience the tape failing, but I didn't want to, either.
This light is PERFECT! Put the adhesive stickers on the metal plate - stick it on the closet wall - and attach the magnetized light to the plate. The hold is a really strong one! It took a couple of minutes and just like magic - a bright enough light in a dark closet. This product is a great buy for the money - very happy.
Works well. If you mount under a cabinet facing down, it seems like the motion sensor works better if you have the switch end to the left and the charge port to the right. You can improve performance with a reflector at 45° under the sensor. I used a small shiny rectangle of metal folded into this shape [ and bent the bottom to 45°. This piece just sits on the light and is held in place by the built in magnets. Also, because of the light sensor, the room has to be almost totally dark for this to trigger. A design improvement would be to have the sensor on a ball joint so that you can aim it in the best direction for your mounting position. I know that's a lot to ask at this price, but its pretty simple. Cosmetically, I think it would look better with white plastic ends instead of the darker grey especially when you realize this is going to be placed in closets and cabinets that are usually white. All in all, I would recommend this item.
Easy to install and exactly what I needed under my kitchen counters! I ordered one and liked it so much I ordered another and then I ordered two more. Also very reasonably priced, Since I am using them on the motion sensor setting I haven't had to charge them yet but charging looks very simple.
I absolutely love these things. I have multiple 18-LED and 10-LED units all over the house. Great for closets, or automatic night lights. Consider them (or their 10-LED counterparts) for foot lighting on stairways, under-counter lights in bathroom cabinets, rooms you walk through a lot at night but don't want to cycle the overheads, etc. I even mount them under my desk and workbench so I can find things I've dropped (on an angled shim so them so they only turn on when I'm crawling down there). Magnetic mount makes it really easy to remove/charge/replace. I even grab the closest one when I need a quick work light. Wonderful design, and a great value at that price.
Tip 1: Be sure to peel the plastic film off of the plates before using; the magnets hold better.
Tip 2: Placement is important; the PIR sensors are very sensitive so put it where it won't turn on unless you need it.
Only down-side: No adjustment for PIR sensitivity or on-time duration when triggered, however the factory settings work well in nearly all cases.
I have recommended these to friends who also love them, and wish I could give these 6 stars.

The light produces a nice warm colored light, not the typical brilliant white LED light. It is not real bright. The range of the sensor, from experience is about 3 feet. After it initially senses you, the light will come on and it switches off in 20 seconds. The light doesn't seem to know if you are still there, it just turns off after 20 seconds and doesn't seem to look for you. Just use the on/off switch, it is easy to use. USB charging is simple and fast, a USB cord does not come with the light. Installation is super simple. Included is a thin metal plate and some two-sided tape to glue the strip where you intend on using the light. The light has an embedded strong magnet that holds the light tight to the metal strip. The delivery was interesting, when I opened the Amazon packaging, which felt warm to touch, the lights were already on. The lights are shipped in their own container then placed in the amazon box, the light must have been turned on accidentally while bouncing around in the boxes. The Amazon packing could have been done better.

This is such an easy solution and install for under cabinet lighting. I would of liked if it came in a warm light option but this still works really good for us. Could easily be moved if you setup multiple mounts for it . For now under our cabinets is where we need it most.
I cannot wait to use it once got it. This is 2nd set LED lights I bought. I love its sensor that i just walk closer it will turn on automatic.
My family and I have used these in our kitchen for 6months now and they work really well. I have only had to charge them 3 times which isn't to bad. I just wish they had not of when up in price or I would be ordering more for our basement under our stairs. Really great product helps when we are coming home at night to light our way with the sensor.
