In all honestly the only things to me that could be improved is the lack of a battery indicator light. And this one will sound weird because it is good and bad at the same time - the length of cord. I wish somehow you could have the option to go very long or go shorter. The cord is around 20 feet long, and that's good, but sometimes it can be in the way. Not a big deal you can coil it I guess.
Anyway, this mic has simplified my life and given me clean/clear quality audio in the process. I'm amazed at how hot the signal is. For 20 bucks it really is a no brainer. I highly recommend this mic.
Update: It's been over a month and thisbis my new favorite mic. Voice recording on the camera and ipad videos are very clean, crisp and clear. Love it!
You really get a lot with the purchase of the mic. Comes with two batteries (one already installed), a computer jack adaptor, clip and very long cord.
I needed something to work on my IPad, Samsung phone and Canon video camera, and it does all three well.
Make sure it is off when you are using this with the tablets and/or smart phones or it will echo. Also make sure that you turn it on when using it with a camera or it won't work at all.
The sound quality is great when using with all devices, and I could not be happier.
The quality far exceeds what I expected for the price. It comes with everything you might need including 2 pop filters and a proper wind filter. Extra battery and even a nifty carrying pouch with their brand on it. The quality of the recording is even better than i expected and works great if you pair it with your phone, which is what I do to record audio at a distance from the lens. The only think I might suggest for the future is a slightly higher quality cord because I fear it may not last as long as I hope it will. But that's more knit picky.
All and all I couldn't recommend it more. This stays in my camera bag.

This microphone took me by surprise. After hours of research trying to decide between one of these cheaper lav mics or a more expensive one such as the Rode Lav, I landed on this one and went for it.
This is an excellent-sounding lavalier microphone for the price. I am using it with a Zoom H1 recorder and I can honestly say the audio I get from this little guy is far better than my Rode VideoMic recordings.
My favorite feature of this microphone is that it can be used with either a camera/recorder OR a smartphone. By turning it off, you then enable it to be plugged in to an iPhone or Android device and record straight into the stock recorder app. I haven't tested this so I can't say how the quality is when used with a phone, but it's nice to have that feature if you don't always have a dedicated recorder with you.
All in all, for the price this thing is great. It's got a looooooooooooooong cable and a solid metal battery capsule that gives it a very premium feel for a price that can't really be beat.

If you are looking for a very good performing lapel mic and you are on a budget, this is a great choice.
I've seen lots of reviews for "affordable" microphones that "everybody" seems to think they have to have--that cost over $100. Phooey! I don't know what planet those reviewers are on, but where I come from, those microphones are NOT affordable! (These reviewers are usually the same people who use $400 digital recorders, $1,200 "affordable" SLR cameras, and $1,000 video editing software. What about the "rest" of us? You know--the ones who have to work for a living!) Enter the $20 microphone. This MAONO microphone has 20' (about 6m) of wire--plenty to walk around a small platform while preaching or teaching in a medium sized room. The wire is not an entirely unmixed blessing, though. It can get tangled and it is a pain in the gazunkus to untangle. But that is a minor inconvenience. Setting the mic up couldn't be simpler. Just plug it into your camcorder or recording device, set the on/off switch to the appropriate position, and start your lecture. (You have to select "on" for when your device does not supply power, and "off" when it does. Typically, you use "on" for a camcorder and "off" for an Android phone.) This microphone works; it's as simple as that. And the sound quality is the best I've heard for any microphone under $50. Period. The belt clip on the power unit does not grip my belt very well, however. I found myself picking the power unit off the floor and putting it in my pocket. That's a minor gripe and in no way does it take away from the ease of use and great sound quality of this microphone. Definitely recommended!
I only used it on a mobile device. I tested it in several diff phones and I got diff results, Samsung S8 plus gave me the best results( Note 4, LG Stylo 2 plus, ZTE Max Pro gave me average quality). Overall quality will be good for a budget lavalier Mic. I use this for my you tube channel and always records consistently. I really like the extra cable as I am able to move around freely and not worry about pulling my phone off the table.
The product works perfectly. good quality and sound. would have given it 5 stars, however one of the two batteries that is placed in the unit when they shipped it, was dead on arrival. The switch was in the "on" position and completely dead. I am using it on a Nikon dslr camera, so the battery is needed. Once I figured it out, (took me a while as i tinkered with the settings on the camera for a while, thinking I was doing something wrong) the product worked perfectly. Thankfully they ship it with a second battery. I know there are not a lot of reviews on it, so I was hesitant, but I tried it out and it works great.
