I purchased this in the new x-large Queen size and it is the right fit. I have 2 foam toppers on my traditional mattress, so it is taller than the norm. I did not want a coverlet that went down to the floor however, and this one does not for me. The star pattern is gorgeous, and reminds me of the real quilts I grew up with. The fabric is soft and is a slight sateen. Both the color and fabric type shift depending on the light. I only see the sateen effect with a flash on or with bright artificial light.
COLOR: The color is very tricky to describe, but it is not as pale a pink as I expected based on pictures, and it's one of those colors that is super hard to capture accurately. In daylight, it is a brighter, saturated petal-type pink, but it never appears like a light, neutral to my eye. First picture is zero artificial light, with overhead skylights but not too sunny. Other pictures show color change just from light shifting a bit. There can be a peach undertone at in darker light. Hope this is helpful to someone!
I agree with another reviewer that it's wonderfully easy to wash, and the quality is apparent. It also works well as a layer on top of a down-type quilt, as it's not too heavy, but substantial and makes the bed look neater. I tend to sleep very warmly and I've not had a problem with it, which is a minor miracle.
The photos are pre-washing, but the folds did not need to be steamed or ironed out, they go away completely with a light tumble dry.
Would love to see this offered in a true white color/star pattern.
We purchased the silver king-sized coverlet. We are using it for our guest bed and my brother stayed with us a week and he loved it. We are using it in lieu of a blanket and it works really great with our duvet for layered comfort. It is super soft and I love the design. I do wish they made it a little wider so I could purchase one for our bed as I really like over-sized bedding since my husband likes to steal the covers. Overall, a great purchase I am happy with; it is well worth the money.
This is a great coverlet. I noticed some of the reviews talking about it being thin or not warm enough but this is a coverlet not a blanket. It’s not meant for cozying up with on its own. I use it over my plain white down blanket to match my decor. When used on top of the down it locks in a little extra warmth for the winter. I washed it before using and it was probably the easiest bedidng I have washed. Came out perfect, no strings or issues. As you can see, my dogs love it too. I think it’s adorable and would recommend.
I sleep VERY warm, so I wanted a very thin coverlet. If you are looking for a substantial blanket/coverlet/quilt, this is not for you. The quilting looks nice and so far it has stood up to my dog 'digging' at before he curls up for the night. It was very easy to wash as well. For winter we are layering it with a comforter and it looks really nice.
This was light weight and comfortable. The pattern is embossed and not stitched so nothing that can rip out. We have only had it a short tome, but it washes up well.
