This is the best LED bulb I have used. Nice LED white with just ever so slight yellow.
The beam pattern is top notch like factory halogens which results in very good long range visibility. Good amount of lumens, though HID is still superior. I would give 4.5 if i could due to HID being better visibiloty, but comparing LED to LED in under $100 I think this is best value.
I've used the HIKARI CREE, Nineo and Zdat. I kept the Nineo for my foglights, HIKARI Phillips for low beams and returned the others.
In the attached pictures, the drivers side is Nineo and the passenger side is Hikari Phillips. Notice the beam pattern that clearly projects more light forward giving better long range visibility. See comparison I did of 4 bulbs.

WAIT A MINUTE! This product, which I actually ordered and installed two days ago, only had 6 reviews when I bought the product. Now it has over 180?!?!?! A lot of the pictures people have posted are not even for this product!
Before I leave my real review, this needs to be addressed!!
This portion is an edit to the original review.
There have been zero highbeam flashes problem coming cars and everybody rides in this truck Lowe’s the headlights it is a much safer vehicle with these headlights.
I am member of a globally recognized forum called TacomWorld and a very active member in a very popular 3rd Gen LED Conversion thread. A bunch of us over there that have bought these bulbs and everyone is very pleased with them, myself included. Installation is easy and the result is incredible. I have since bought two more of these bulbs and a package of their license plate bulbs.
I am running these bulbs in both my low and high beams and I am 100% satisfied and recommend them to anyone with the same type of vehicle.
I've included a After photograph showing the the Hikari Philips Low Beam and High Beam.
OK, bare with me...
I'm not a paid reviewer and I have no affiliation with Amazon or Hikari.
I have changed my halogen headlights in the past, but I haven't done much more on a car that an oil change. A friend got some LED headlights and suggested that we put some in my Toyota truck.
I purchased the Hikari Cree LEDs a couple of weeks ago and after a lot of fussing, we got them (H4 - 9003s) into my Toyota Tacoma . They cost around $70 and were advertised as around 9,600 Lumens. I noticed that LED housing was long and there was only the one large Cree LED for the low beam and a second one for the high beam. The instructions were very poor. I had to cut back the rubber boot around the LED headlight to get it to fit. I had to wiggle and force in into place over the housing. I had to invert the boot and fold it to try to wiggle the long LED housing into the mounting plate in the headlight assembly. I then had to try to close the spring.
I ended up pulling parts of my front grill off, pulling the wiper fluid container and ultimately pulling out the whole front left head light. I broke the spring that holds the headlight in place and then the Hikari base that holds the light in place (cheap plastic mounted to a metal bracket. I was able to drill out the headlight and mount the spring back in place with a couple of screws. Ultimately, when I turned on the lights, I was not happy with the light pattern on my garage (I used painter's tape to mark the horizontal and vertical center to compare the old headlights and the Hikari patterns). The pattern was scattered and when parked only 10' from the garage door, the pattern fell about 1' higher with the Hikari. This lead me to believe that the pattern would be much higher at a distance and hence, in other driver's eyes. They were brighter, but I sent them back.
Fast forward a week and I found a new set of Hikari H4's using the brand new Philips Lumileds. There were only 5 reviews; however, the photos showed three LEDs for the low and an additional three LEDs for the high beam. They claimed higher Lumens (by around 2,400). They also showed a "cup", as on a normal headlight of my type. I paid around $90.
The LEDs came in a white Hikari box. The LEDs were much shorter - about the same length as a normal headlight, in fact. I compared the halogen headlight with the Hikari. They were actually about the same length. There was a "cup" around the low beam, like on my halogen light.
The metal housing seemed more heavy duty/better metal and there was a "cup" around the three low beam LEDs on both sides. The fan area was actually a little bigger and heavier, too. The driver housing was heavier and there was a nicely wrapped cable past this. It felt like a much higher quality conversion kit.
I learned a few things from the first debacle. The first trick (which was poorly explained in their manual) was that you hold the LED and turn the mount 180 degrees to remove the LED housing from the metal/plastic headlight mounting bracket. You should put the mounting bracket into the headlight housing and fasten the spring to hold it in place. There are three points of contact on the mounting bracket and you need to note which two are at the bottom. You put the rubber boot over the top of the LED and slide it into place. You slide the LED housing into the mounting bracket and turn it 180 degrees to lock it into the headlight housing. I did this and attached the cable into the electrical connector that the halogen headlight used to have attached. I snap-tied the driver to another wire to keep it from flopping around. It took less than 5 minutes on the driver's side headlight the second time. About an extra 5 minutes on the passenger side.
After I installed the driver's side headlight, I turned on the headlights to check the pattern of the Hikari Lumiled LED vs. the halogen one. I found that it was actually slightly lower that my halogen headlight, with a crisp cutoff on low beam. It was a MUCH better pattern than the Hikari Cree LEDs. It also appeared to be a brighter and crisper light pattern. When I put it on high beams, the light was more widely scattered and brighter yet.
I have driven around in the daytime and the headlights will light up a reflective stop sign from 100 yards. At night, I noticed that the Hikari's are about twice as bright as the aftermarket halogen headlights that they replaced. I like the 6,500 k color better than the halogen headlights, which were around 5,000 k. There is a much better low beam cutoff than either of the other lights I have tried. I have not been flashed by oncoming cars.
If I could subtract a half a star for the lousy instructions (which were the exact same ones as included in the Cree LED box. They were even marked as "old" instructions), I would do so. I'm happy with them after a week; however, only time will tell how long they will actually hold up to real world driving.
I'm back with an update to the previous posts/reviews. Please read the whole review. It tells a story and will give perspective on the topic.
I am changing my review of these bulbs. Now that Amazon had shipped the correct item, I have a complete change of opinion on the bulbs. I need to, also, state that I ordered completely new aftermarket headlight assemblies for my vehicle. The original factory headlight assemblies for my car, although they were clean and polished, were not clear enough to allow the new LED bulbs to perform as they were capable. With the new headlight assemblies, these bulbs are incredible. They are bright, clear, have a solid beam pattern, and really illuminate the road and everything I need to see at night. They are what they say they are! Kudos to the Hikari team, especially, Yamaha, for convincing me to try again. I would buy these, again, in a heartbeat. In fact, I'm going to order the high beam (9005) version as well. My current high beam bulbs can't compete with these and are now useless, in comparison.
After posting the following review (below), I was reached by a member of the Hikari staff. I have been offered a resolution to try the correct bulbs in my vehicle. The Amazon fulfillment center sent the wrong product. (make sure you order the Phillips Top Lumileds)I made the judgement that the advertised listing was just a generic picture and the item sent was what gets sent to complete the order. Hence, the title of my review and the comments in my original review. I did return the original order and did receive my refund.
Hikari has offered to resolve my issue by offering a discount to try the correct bulbs. I have placed this new order and will review the results of trying the new bulb. I've been assured that the correct bulbs will make a difference in performance. I will follow up on this when I install them.
IMPORTANT: On a service note, the Hikari contact; Yamaha, has been very helpful, kind, fair, and responsive. He is why I am giving the brand a second shot. From this standpoint, I have nothing but praise for this company and how it is handling my first complaint. I am impressed by the follow up and concern for their brand. In fairness, I am giving them a chance to prove themselves.
I will add that I have been trying several brands, several price points, and several types of LED bulbs in my 2006 Honda Pilot. I have been very disappointed in the attempts that I have tried. I am cautiously optimistic for the new trial. The results I have had, the LED's and their design have just not projected enough light for safe driving in my projector style lenses, standard on my vehicle. I've felt they have all been more for show and not performance. The original Hikari bulbs (wrong product) I reviewed, were no different.
(Original review) Tried in projection style lenses. Not as bright as advertised. Short distance of light throw. Claims by these brands should be taken with a grain of salt. Did not receive the brand of LED that was advertised and in the pictures.

Philipp Hikari led look nice on my 2012 odyssey. Scattered beam but nicely throw on the road. Bright white somewhat yellow ish in there which it helps on visibility in rain or wet conditions. Will get some for my 2015 Accord.
These are pretty brilliant. They put a ton of light on the road. I installed them into Hella E-code 7" housings. They produce a pretty sharp low beam cutoff that very closely resembles the halogen pattern. The high beam is bright and goes a long distance, but isn't quite as clean of a pattern as a halogen.
I only gave 4 stars because these actually seriously need to be adjusted. When compared to a halogen bulb, the "blocker" for the low beam is actually at a very different angle than the halogen bulb. When i first installed them, i noticed that the beam angle was a little off- actually higher on the left than the right. I was easily able to just simply twist them counter clockwise (from the back) to correct the angle of the beam. They should be keyed properly so that when twisted into the locked position they are correct and won't require adjustment.
Probably brightest LEDs out there sub under 150$
I bought some LEDs that were around 45$ and while they seemed to be a slight improvement to OEM halogens. I wanted a bit more brightness.
These 9005 DO NOT properly fit with 2015 accord HIGHBEAMS because the accord higbeam housing has the bulb orientation such that the hikari bulbs when inserted properly do not sit with the LEDs at the 3/9 clock positions but sit a bit turned which results in an undesired beam pattern. the stock halogens they can get away with this odd orientation because halogens dont have as much directionality as LEDs light output does.
That said. As long as your car manufacture has the stock bulb 9005 with oriented with the plug at 6 o clock. These bulbs will work fantastic.
These led’s are half as bright as HID’s. The good thing is nobody will flash their high beams to me anymore lol. For the price I expected better, let’s see how long they last. The color definitely is beautiful, goes well with my daytime running led lights. I decided to give these a try and so far I’m happy, but I do miss my HID’s. I’m hoping these last longer than a few months as many have stated they don’t last long, the great thing is they’re covered via warranty for 2 years. Good if you don’t want to blind other drivers, maybe as bright as stock halogens. I should've taken a before and after picture.
Absolutely the best LED bulbs I've purchased.
I've purchased other brands of LED headlights, but none of them compare to these Hikari bulbs with how well they keep the light tightly/precisely focus.
One very dangerous issue that many of the LED headlight bulbs on the market today have is a lack of engineering design to LED placement to keep the light focused where it should be rather than flooding out all over the place and blinding oncoming traffic. Sure, all the other LED headlight brands I've tried absolutely light the road up better than halogen bulbs, however, they also had a lot of light bleeding off and flooding the oncoming traffic with blinding light, and as a result, I was frequently getting flashed by oncoming traffic despite aiming my headlights lower than usual. I'm sure many of us have experienced the blinding effects of LED bulbs with poor focus.
However, the Hikari bulbs absolutely don't have that issue. The placement of the LED's on the Hikari headlight bulbs is precisely where they need to be in order to produce the same tightly focused light beam that the halogen bulbs produce, only at a much brighter level. I was able to re-aim my headlights higher, and I have yet to be flashed by any oncoming traffic. As a result, the road ahead is brightly illuminated not only for my visibility, but also the visibility of oncoming traffic. Thank you Hikari for your excellence. I've finally found the only brand of headlight I will put into my vehicles.
