The item is well-built, it has a very hard solid plastic that should hold up very well to outside environments, as it is with any plastics I am sure direct sunlight could effect the units other impossible reliability. That is not a negative on the object is pretty much anything that's made of plastic exposed to the elements will eventually have a problem or a potential problem.
It comes with a remote, with battery also has on on and off. Each separate plug meaning numbers one and two and three coincide to the three plugs. They work at quite a distance, I noticed up to 25 feet. There was no issues at all installing them. This would be an ideal situation for out side spotlights, Christmas lights also possibly water pumps and things like this could probably be used from a remote location.

overview, the unit is fairly affordable adds up to about $10 each plug plus the remote. I was surprised that only one remote was included being there are three plugs being used for a remote control the chances are you may end up in different areas using remotes. This is not a huge deal breaker but it would've been nice because this is not a cheap unit and an extra remote would've definitely been beneficial. I can't knock them for the price because it's close enough plus they're very clear about what's included. Definitely worth the purchase and is well built this company seems to make other types of remotes and different plug types and they all seem to be pretty solid I highly recommend it
I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and it works just as advertised. The range is a push at 100 feet but walls and windows seem to pose no problem. I have two of the 3 receivers/switches outdoors and they have been unaffected by rain and snow. It is convenient to have the "manual" switch at the receptacle as the transmitter is often somewhere else. The receivers occupy only one of the standard stacked receptacles and leave the other for other use. Recommended.
I set up this remote set for a Christmas tree and garland for my Dad's last Christmas. He's unable to walk far due to terminal cancer, so decorating wouldn't have worked without this remote control kit. Now, from the comfort of his couch he can turn on and off the lights for both the tree (in another room) and garland without any more effort than pushing buttons. I am amazed! The set up was simple, nothing more than plugging in the receivers, plugging the light cords into the receiver, and pushing the buttons. It was hassle free and worked the first time! I'm am so grateful that I found this kit. Thank you for such an amazing products.
It works perfectly. I have mobility problems and in the short time I have had this product it has saved me getting out in the rain and snow. I use one to control the cover pump on my pool - FANTASTIC! I use the other two units to control the heat tape I installed on my roof (2 places) to avoid ice dams which will cause water to come under the roof shingles. All the units work flawlessly. The price, for what you get and how well it works is the best bargain around. Get it - you will love it!
Best make-it-remote-operated units I've ever owned.. Very responsive from inside to outside and has distinct on and off switch....not just a toggle. You use off switch with confidence....its off without a double check operation. Well built with three sites at this price. Nothing more to ask for..

I have used other remote controllers, but these have the highest quality with good features. There are three controllers with one common remote control with three on-off switches marked 1, 2 & 3 matching the number on the controllers. Electronically these are very high quality and the switch buttons are large enough to comfortably actuate. The controller also has a bracket for mounting with a screw if you want to attach to a wall. And the price is competitive with lesser products!
This is a great product. Somehow, though, maybe having to do with my own failing eyesight, I initially thought they had not sent me the controller along with the plug set, but I was mistaken. Wrong! Yes, they had enclosed it -- I just lost it in clutter (it's easy to lose, being small and flat, but it functions perfectly). I'm sorry I don't seem to have some other, better way of apologizing to Dewenwils for complaining about this in the first place when it was all my mistake.
If you have a space in your home where something electric you use {such as a lamp} is not easily accessible these are perfect. They are the perfect remote control device for something that normally would not be remote controlled. They are easy to install.
Once plugged in they are controlled by a small remote device. Relatively inexpensive
to make something completely inaccessible, usable.
So nice not to have to run outside in the cold and snow to turn off Holiday lights. Oh sure, I could get those timer plugs, but sometimes I want my lights and inflatables on during the daylight hours. This little device saved me from the cold, since all I had to do was press a button from inside my nice warm house, to turn on and off my outside Holiday lights. Super easy to set up and start working.
Literally plug and play. The switches to my patio lighting are not easily accessible, so having the remote control outlet kit has been wonderful. I'm impressed with the wide range of the remote control. I don't have to point to the actual outlets for the remote to turn the switches on and off. Love the convenience!
