I use these sink strainers in way most people don't. I use them to make artwork by pouring acrylic paint onto a canvas to create beautiful patterns in the paint. This artform, acrylic pouring, is fairly new and is becoming quite popular. There are YouTube videos showing how to use these strainers in this way. This particular brand is perfect for this purpose. They come four in a package for a reasonable price and they wash clean of the paint very easily. I love them.
I actually bought these strainers for a painting project I had. I only needed two so I decided to try them out in my double kitchen sink. Seriously, I have no idea why I’m almost 30 and just now realizing by accident, that these types of strainers are sooo much easier!!! They catch food better and are easier to clean. Really great material and I’m still excited to get two of them all messy with paint!
The sieve part of this strainer is large enough to keep the strainer centered over the drain, so that it covers it completely. Food and debris are effectively blocked from the drain. With their color coding, these are IDEAL for kosher homes with double sinks. Moreover, they make a perfect but inexpensive housewarming present. I ordered several extras to keep on hand.
Initially bought these to use in the new paint pouring trend---they work great for this. The beautiful patterns created when you pour the acrylic paint thru the strainers is just great. Since there were many in the order, I also placed one in my sink. They work great for this as well. Of course, that was what the product was initially designed for. Stops those pieces of stuff you don't want going down the drain with ease. The colors are great ass well.
I’ve had this item for about a month now. It performs as I needed, hoped and expected it to as a catch in my kitchen sink. It replaces what I’ve been buying from Walmart for several years because of price and shipping charges and quantity received. The item seems to be about the same quality but time will tell. It is of a, what seems to a layperson, to be a plastic type substance, but that is sturdy enough to hold up in its intended capacity.
For the old ones, with regular use, regular bleaching to keep it sanitary and washing it in the dishwasher too about 2-3 times a month; I would replace it when it would start to chip along the outside border. The strainer part never did. I usually got at least 6 months out of one of those but, as stated, I’m not easy on them. I keep them sanitized and change them out when they begin to break down. If I could not find them for some reason to replace them, I have gotten as long as a year out of them but they were pretty ratty by the time they were disposed of. Let me be clear...I am giving you the history that I have, of what I’ve used before, a comparable strainer, from Walmart. I see this one to be of at least as good quality but, in all honesty, as I’ve only had it for a month or so, that’s all I can speak to.
I got an email from the shipper asking for an honest review to help other prospective customers so I’m offering what I have to offer as honestly as I can. I have used this one in the same manner as the old ones and have washed it in the dishwasher at least twice. I use vinegar often in my sinks to wash fruits and vegetables and when I have meats in my sinks, I use bleach before and after, with lots of rinsing at both times, removing the strainer before the meat but dishwasher sanitizing it after the meat and bleach wash. (I put the meat in a bowl for anyone going eww, but liquids can slosh and I’m immune compromised, so...) So far, it shows no signs of fading or of wear/tear. It seems to be holding up well but it’s only been a month or so. On the other hand, it was just a couple of bucks each and I think I’ll very much get my $ worth.
All this being said about quality and value, I’ll say something about personal choice and why I chose this one over the others available.
If I could find a non-toxic, fair trade, sustainable option that served my purpose just as well but that didn’t put chemicals that compromise my health and planet that would be great and I’d be willing to pay a little more for it. I am immunocompromised as well as other serious issues where I must consider my environment carefully. I’m only beginning to learn about how much everyday products affect even the smallest things in our bodies that we’d never expect but it makes a big difference. I’m learning these lessons in a very personal way after bleach and Lysol have been a germophobes best friend’s for life. Now, only bleach, in moderation, with meat and toilets. One thing at a time😃 My Point is that while I know you can’t believe every claim made, this item at least had the possibility of being better than straight up plastics. Better personally and better for the planet. I have no way to know, certainly, with my level of knowledge currently and given that the item arrived in a box in a clear bag with nothing else. No papers. No labels. Certainly didn’t fill me with confidence that it’s true but not proof it’s not so I go back to what I do know. In the time I’ve used it, it’s worked.
Sorry for the flight of the bumblebee thought processes. My focus isn’t as clear as it was when I was stronger but I hope you can find something I offered helpful. It’s scattered but honest 😊

These are exactly what I needed. I place them in the drain where the garbage disposal is located. The strainer holes are small enough to prevent anything from going into the disposal, but still allows water to drain. They are lightweight, but sturdy. The bright colors are attractive. They are easily cleaned with a scrub brush or soaking in a bleach or vinegar solution. The price was very cost effective for the pack of four. I will have replacements if ever needed. There is a small post in the center to allow for the strainer to be easily grasped & removed if needed.
The best kitchen sink drain cover. I throw them out when the bottom gets nasty. I have never found another cover that comes close to this. This is the first time I have seen it with a black plastic interior. I think I prefer this to the white version.
I originally bought these to do my paint pours through but I didn't need four so I put two in my sink. I love that they can fit because I was afraid that my sink/drains center prong would be to high but I was wrong. These fit into them perfectly and they've kept more food gunk from entering my drain than the drain strainer that was made for my sink. GREAT!!! They also work wonderfully for my paint pours. They aren't flimsy and seem really durable. I love the patterns that I can create using these strainers. To get 4 for this price is really nice.
I actually bought these strainers to use in my acrylic pouring. Reminded I hadn't left a review, I put one of the strainers in my sink and was Very pleased it works much better than the replacement strainer I'd just purchased (which doesn't let the water flow out of the sink easily). These Betwoo strainers are colotful, well made and perfect for my Insinkerator opening. And, they work beautifully for acrylic pouring! I'm a happy customer!
I have the standard double sink in the kitchen, one with a disposal. I thoroughly dislike having to fish out things that accidentally fall into the disposal, not a frequent occurrence, but still... The other sink has one of those plastic sink stoppers, but the slightest bit of debris kept the sink from draining. So, when I saw the sink strainers, I bought them. They are colorful, sturdy, and fit both drains. Nothing gets into the disposal unless I want it to. The other sink doesn't get stopped up when I don't want it to. Each has a small plastic piece that sticks up from the center to grab when you want it out of the drain. I toss them once a week into the top shelf of the dishwasher to keep them clean. I am really glad I bought them.
