I've been needing to purchase a foam topper for my California King size bed for soooooooo long. This seemed like it fit the bill and was priced well.
Our mattress was a good mattress, at least for me. My husband however has not been able to sleep in our bed without waking up in pain. I saw reviews on this padding and took a chance. I bought this as a Halloween present to my husband. My husband said it was the FIRST night he didn't experience hip or back pain. So glad we did. He has been able to sleep on this and wake up pain free.
When the topper arrived, it was heavy and substantial. I unpackaged it and laid it out on my bedroom floor. It's important to note that the lavender scent of the topper was a little strong after first being unpackaged. Seriously, I'm pretty sure your entire house/apartment will smell like you're cultivating a field's worth of lavender crops in one room within moments of opening the plastic. I loved the smell - it was delightful! I imagine it'll fade over time.
I also soooooo love that it has its own cover that you can take off and wash. I'm sure it will prolong the life of the memory foam topper and mattress. Save money on a new mattress. Get this topper!!!

Sweet Dreams...
I have to say I was recommended a firm mattress due to the way I sleep and it was comfortable the first few months I slept in it but, as time went on I noticed that my hips and lower back were constantly in pain when I got out of bed. I decided to purchase this mattress topper due to the five star reviews although, there weren't a large amount of reviews they were all five stars and that's what made me purchase this. Let me tell you last night was the first night I slept on it and soon as I laid down on the bed I wanted to fall asleep, not only that, when I woke up this morning I had zero back and hip pain! I am so happy with this purchase, hopefully as time goes on it'll become more and more comfortable.
No matter what kind of bed I’ve owned or how much I paid for it I always seem to need a foam topper for it. They used to be a cheap accessory but not anymore, which raises my first question – why would anyone pay several hundred bucks for a piece of foam to improve their mattress rather than just pay that same money to buy a whole new mattress.
The next question is related, why does a piece of foam that literally costs a few cents to make cost so much anyway.
If it sounds like I am against the whole idea of foam pad, well I am. I think it makes more sense to put that money into a better mattress that’s designed to be comfortable and without adding extra layers that can bunch up, shift around, and start to deteriorate as soon as you get them. But yet I bought this one for a couple of reasons. The bed I have right now is brand new, a full size, and actually very nice and almost comfortable enough. It doesn’t need a thick fancy topper, just something to make it very slightly less firm. It’s temporary so replacing the whole thing doesn’t make a lot of sense. I shopped around for a one or two inch topper like I used to pay about twenty bucks for and they just don’t exist anymore. Anything I saw online that was halfway acceptable was over $75 and if I looked in the stores they were 300-400, which was totally out of the question.
With an almost infinite number of different brands in this category at Amazon I considered each of them very carefully and ultimately decided on this one despite it having very few comments from customer.
WHAT I LIKE
The primary thing that attracted me is that it is perforated. Nothing is more uncomfortable that laying on a piece of foam on a hot summer night, so having air circulation was important to me. Next was that they included a cover. As they point out, uncovered foam can crack and split and they rarely last a year. The cover protects the foam from aging and also keeps it cleaner and more sanitary. I also like that it has some body to it, it doesn’t just squeezed down flat when you lay on it. I also like that they have strong elastic straps at each corner to keep it from shifting around or having the corners lift while you are laying on it.
WHAT I DIDN’T CARE FOR
I am not fond of the lavender smell. I think the real reason they do that is to try to mask the strong stench of foam rubber, not because there is any real positive benefit to it. It’s so strong that it made sleeping on it unpleasant for the first week or so. After that both the lavender smell and the foam smell aired out enough that I can tolerate it.
BOTTOM LINE
All things considered I didn't have very high expectations of this. I think the only thing that pushed me over the edge to get it was a fairly substantial lightning deal promo which put it at the bottom of the price scale for a day. Now I'm happy I made that decision, it is better made than I thought it would be, the cover that they include is much better than you usually see, it covers an entire full bed whereas other brands sometimes are made slightly smaller, and most important of all, the improvement in comfort is exactly what I was looking for - not too much firmness and not too much sponginess, it softens the pressure points or "sting" as I call it and reduces the need for me to toss and turn as often, hence letting me sleep better.
I love this topper! I’m finally waking up without back pain. I need a firm mattress but as a side-sleeper, I also need something to absorb shoulder pressure and keep my alignment in check. The material keeps it from sliding around and it’s slightly larger than my king size mattress. Once the fitted sheet is on, it’s hard to tell it’s a separate piece. I will say that I cannot smell any lavender whatsoever but perhaps it’s very mild. I’m sure the fragrance fades regardless and it’s not as important as the comfort in my opinion.
Did I say I love this? It's been 2 weeks of new-found comfort from an aging 24-year-old adjustable firmness air mattress. The original mattress still works like a charm but we wanted something new (duh?). Went into that manufacturer's store, tried out 4 different models, needed to lay down after seeing the prices ... and then realized their new feature was memory foam topping. Well, at a king size desire, that wasn't going to happen. My wife found this BedStory king size for what I consider a very reasonable price. I unpackaged it in a spare bedroom on top of a queen bed in 15 minutes and let it decompress for about 3 hours. The lavender scent is not strong. Moving to the master bedroom is a 2-person task. Hopped on it right away and had an immediate different sensation. Comfortable, yes, but almost as if it cuddles up to you. And as I said, it’s been 2 weeks with absolutely no need to toss and turn. My early concern about memory foam retaining too much heat didn't occur, I guess due to the ventilation holes. This was a great decision with sooo much less impact on the wallet.

Girlfriend didn't like my 3" memory foam mattress, & sleeping on her firm mattress put me in pain; So I looked around & this seemed like a good choice, and it was!
Soft/thick enough for me to be comfortable but she's not sinking in too far & feeling trapped.
The cover it came in is very nice, with the durable slip-resistant bottom and soft top/side sheet, and loop straps on each corner to attach to the bed, plus I put it under a pillow top fitted sheet and top fitted sheet, so it's not going anywhere
I got the lavender although I'm sure it'll fade over time to nothing, but I didn't need the 'cooling' version, and it's not overpowering, which I was worried about bc we're on the second floor and windows are wrapped for winter, so nowhere to air it out really except the hallway.
I'd highly recommend it, though I prefer the 3 inch. I can throw the 3 inch on the hard floor & sleep great, not even really a need for buying a 8in bed anymore by my requirements, but I digress.

This is a 2 inches memory foam sheet, initially, I thought 2 inches would be very thin but this is not thin but very comfortable & perfect for people who have back issues. It is a topper/padding to your mattress. Mine is very soft so unfortunately, it doesn't feel very great on mine but if the base of the topper is firm then you would feel memory foam. I am now planning to either by a firm mattress or one with memory foam.
I was so impressed with the memory foam mattress. I bought it for my guest bedroom and the most recent guest said she slept so much better even though the twin mattress was a new one. The cover that came with it was a bonus because it not only protected the mattress but kept my guest from over heating. The lavender scent was a big bonus also. I'm very pleased.
At first, the foam mattress topper came in so compact that I didn’t believe this would become two inches. To my surprise after about 15 minutes it puffered up and became super comfortable. I recently purchased a new mattress for my dorm and due to my budget it was not as soft as I would’ve liked. This topper for sure did the trick. Highly recommend.
I'm in a airbnb for 2 months and the bed is horrible. So I ordered this hoping that it would be significant enough to get me through. I'm happy with the purchase and definitely helps. It is warmer that my topper at home and not as cushie but it works. And if I'm unable to take it with me due to size I wont be out a lot of money.
