Overall I would say this rope is a pretty solid value. It's cheaper (in cost and in build) than a quality rope like a Rogue… but it's also like a third the cost.
I opted for this cheaper rope (I use a Rogue at the gym but I wanted a rope at home to use on off days). I usually buy quality (buy once, cry once) but for this I decided not to since it's just a Big Friggin Rope™ and I wasn't positive I would use it a ton.
This rope is supple and really heavy. I'm used to a 1.5 rope, but decided to buy the 2" and OMFG the increased diameter makes sets brutal.
I strongly suspect this rope will fray pretty hard over time (the strands are VERY soft), especially since I use it outside for the most part. I'm not worried though because if I use it enough to wear it out, I'll be able to justify the price for a higher quality jacketed rope.
So what's the caveat? The rope came to me with a number of snagged threads. There's already a photo here in Enj79's review, so check that out if you're curious. Mine looks exactly like hers, so I'm guessing it's not a super unusual issue.
But I honestly don't really care… it's just a big friggin rope, and so far it hasn't exploded or anything.
Just got my order after waiting two months for it. Unboxed it to find some of the thread sticking up. Hope this doesnt cause the rope to unravel after first use. Will update once I have had a chance to try it out.
This thing is so awesome. You can do a million different workouts. I was really vascilating between the 1.5 and 2 inch. I'm in good shape and the 1.5 inch is great. I honestly think the length matters a lot more. Don't get less than 50ft.it really matters to get enough resistance and get a cadence going with waves.
At first, I was a little skeptical to buy this -- based off the reviews about the plastic handles... But, I figured this would not be a problem, because I do own a pair of workout gloves anyways, so I did not need to worry about the slipping issue other people experienced. I bought the shortest length offered (30 feet), and it is still pretty long enough AND heavy enough for me! Luckily, I have a piece of furniture in my living room that is sturdy enough to use as a base to hold the middle of the rope whenever I use it. I love how I can pretty much coil the rope up into a small hamper.
The rope is great! But the next one I buy will be 50ft. The shorter rope is lighter, so you have to adjust your stamina, for faster movements. I tend to tire faster. But it was worth the cash, & I would buy it again! It did not fray on the basketball poles I attach it to.

omg I went to a boot camp class and did battle ropes for the first time I immediately came home and ordered this. these ropes gives me a good work out and get my heart to pumping
I love battle ropes and these are great. For the money they are fantastic. Why pay 3 times the amount when these do the job. A little stiff when you first take them out of the box, but they loosen up once you start using them. I would buy them again.
I love it I got the 30' one and I only could do it for 7 rounds of 45 seconds and it killed me I really like it only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't come with the attachment thing . That the only thing I wish that they sell them with the rope. Because if you don't have that attachment you can't really do the work out
Great buy for a durable product.
Love it. Use it as a climbing rope for my kids.
