Extra update. This reel works great It casts as good as any of my more expensive rigs I would recommend it to anyone wanting an inexpensive top notch reel.*UPDATE* I am upping my review to 5 stars because Sougayilang contacted and sent me a replacement reel for a faulty one. The real looks and feels sturdy. The price is certainly affordable and it feels and sits real nice on my rod. I loaded this reel with a full spool of 30 pound braided line and was making unbelievable long casts with it.
Arrived in good shape. Impressive looking reel. Have used it and caught a 2 1/2 lb bass on the second cast. It casts as good as any reel I have and I have some good ones.

Usually I don't buy baitcasting reel since I don't like the huge barrel shape on my rod. But when I try to get a rod for my kid, I am looking for smaller one and I found this low profile version. It is very decent quality at this price level. You don't need to assemble for this reel. I mounted it on a Disney kids topy rod and actually caught a lot of fishes.

This reel is what I expected for the price. It has many of the features one expects from a baitcaster. However, there are a couple of things I think could be an improvement. The thumb bar is a thin plastic and sharp. The spool rubs against the housing, so it’s a little noisy.
This was my first bait caster and was a little bit worried at first. However, once I got it I noticed it was well made feels good in hand and now am looking forward to learning how to use it.
