I used ammonia-free glass cleaner to clean the windows, spray the film, and stabilize it after installation. There is a noticeable difference of -8°F that shields me from using my air conditioning.
1) make sure your windows are thouroughly cleaned.
2) spray your film with ammonia-free cleaner liberally, during the film separation process.
3) spray the windows liberally
4) apply the film
5) use a solid squeeze to apply film and eliminate bubbles, from center to end.
6) cut off excessive film with rasor sharp x-acto knife.
7) spray over applied film again
8) use a soft squeezgee to finish.
9) wipe with a lint free towel.
This stuff works great. Just remember, that like the instructions say, whichever side of the window has the most lighting is the side that will see in. You'll still need to close your blinds at night. Clean your windows really good, and buy the installation kit and the nice squeegee - the one that comes with the regular kit is crappy and you'll end up scratching the film. Be careful when you're peeling the backing off as well as if you get a kink in it, it'll damage the finish as well.
From the outside, it really just looks like a very reflective window at first glance. On the inside, any sunlight coming in basically has no more heat to it. No more sitting around in the dark during the summer when you've got the AC on, or worrying about electronics overheating in the sunlight.
I used this for my office to block people from being able to see into my building. There was a little bit of a learning curve in figuring out how to effectively apply the film, but I was a pro by the end. I covered the bottom of about 6 double pane windows and had a little left over. I was really happy with the price and coverage of the material. You can definitely tell that there is a treatment on the window from the street but it doesn't look cheap or tacky in my opinion.
Easy to apply and seems to have reduced how hot our garage gets after putting this on our garage door windows. It also greatly reduces someone's ability to peak into our garage and see what we have in there to help deter theft.
I had used something similar sold at a major home improvement store. But their price went way up. So I bought this and put it up like I did the first type I had used, all windows came down within 24 hours. I was so disappointed, SO I watched a few videos and used baby shampoo for round two. Very pleased. It really works and all windows are holding up well and its been 2 months. Love it, we really notice the temperature difference.

Great for maximum cutting of the amount of light and helping heat transfer. If you want to refuce heat but not light use plain mirror tint. Film has some imperfections in grade very minor distortion. If your windows dont have to be perfect this is a great product. You will make your own imperfections on install. Follow instructions. Once you do one window it gets easier, you need a spray bottle, soap, razor blade, razor blade cutter, measuring tape, a squeege, lint free towel, and a plastic putty knife. Putty knife makes a great guide when trimming film on the windows.
Film is quite rigid compared to others making for water removal a little more challenging. Once installed it looks and performs as advertised, most of the sun is reflected resulting in little solar gain, and provides good privacy during daylight.

I’m that kind person who is care very much about privacy. This window film provide very good privacy. It feel very good when you can outside and outside cannot see you😊 before I use curtains for privacy, but it block the sunlight and views from outside too.
