I love this blanket. Love love love. We just had a baby boy and the sleep deprivation has been horrible. I'm an okay napper but my husband isn't. He had a really rough time with baby's schedule until I saw a post for this blanket and bought it out of sheer desperation. He was going around like a zombie and it was so rough for both of us. And this thing is. A. Game. Changer. I don't know what they put in here but the first day we got it my husband passed out. To be fair he did have like a week of sleep to catch up on, but I was so shocked that not only it worked but worked so well. We were in survival mode for so long with the new guy but once we both started getting sleep everything felt so much more happy and doable.
One tip on the blanket, it says to air dry the cover for best results but no one has time for that! I dried it on tumble dry low and it was literally perfect. I don't even know why they suggest the air dry, liability?? Also the cover has a bunch of little ties which, as a mom of a newborn, I didn't have the patience for. But it's a small price to pay for such a great product. Plus I make my husband use it with a sheet so I never have to wash the cover again. Wonderful product, thanks for the sleep!
I got my blanket at a discount, but I would buy one again for full price if anything were to happen to it. It definitely helps me sleep and there is no noticeable deterioration after a month of use. The glass beads are fine and distributed well so it has a sand-like weightiness to it.
When I was first putting it together, I had to loosen the knots on the zipper side of the duvet cover to get it to fully zip up. Beyond that minimal issue, I have not had any other concerns.
The length is really good. Included is a picture of it across a queen-sized bed.
Highly recommend! Very high quality. I am the type of sleeper who like to roll myself up up like a sushi roll and put a pillow on my belly during sleeping. I don’t get overheated with this weighted blanket. It’s easy to wash and stay in good shape after wash.
Sleep is extremely important in our family, so we are always testing out new bedsheets, blankets, duvets, etc. to find the best combination. This blanket was a tad too heavy for me to sleep under, but my husband absolutely loves it. With that said, I really like using it while sitting on the couch. It really does make me feel calmer!
I’ve been interested in a weighted blanket for a long time and am so glad I finally got one. After a long international flight, I was severely jet lagged and had trouble getting uninterrupted sleep (waking up after 3 hours max). I got this blanket before I left for my trip and decided this was the perfect time to use it. I washed the duvet first as I’m a clean freak, but out of the package you could tell it is very high quality and had no strange smell, which I notice is a problem with lots of products sold on Amazon. The beads are fine and evenly distributed, so the blanket is comfortable to handle if you need to fold it or move it around. After washing, to put the duvet on you should use the little ties inside the duvet on one side first and then slip the duvet over it, and finish tying the other side and zip up the duvet.
So my first night with the blanket, I noticed how heavy it felt on me since I wasn’t used it yet but I didn’t have time to fidget with it since I fell asleep almost instantly after putting it on. That first night with the blanket I got 5 hours uninterrupted sleep. I was so excited by how quickly it worked I tested a nap with it since I rarely am able to nap during the day. To my pleasant surprise, it worked (almost too well) and with each consecutive use with it, I got longer uninterrupted sleep. On any given day I normally wake up naturally after 6.5 hours and can’t fall back asleep, but this blanket has helped me sleep for 8 hours straight. That is a HUGE deal to me since I haven’t been able to get restful sleep like this for a long time due to stress, aging, etc. I was expecting this blanket to be a quick fix for my jet lag but it’s done much more than that. Out of preference I’ll usually alternate nights with it since I see it as a therapeutic tool rather than a “normal” blanket (maybe because I’m a newbie), so whenever I have a stressful day and know I’m going to have a hard time sleeping or staying asleep, I gratefully pull this blanket out and let it do it’s work. It’s also extra comforting because it’s warm, so I can wear lighter pajamas with it whenever I use it.
For the quality and very fair price (look up more heavily advertised blankets for the same weight and length, I personally couldn’t justify pay close to $300 for something I wasn’t sure about), this definitely deserves 5-stars in my book.
