Great product with a very reasonable price/
I have well water and I only drink it from the filtered fridge water. It never tastes bad and I am confident that this filter works based on taste!
Look good, feel heavy and nice, however after installing and running for 5 minutes as stated in instruction I brought out the TDS water tester to see where the water landed. First test was 46 TDS, my facet water was 36, and the zero water fridge container was still at 0. Ran for another 5 mins to total 10 mins, and actually got the TDS level to 32 just below faucet water but still not low enough to get rid of the zero water containment in our fridge which is what the purchase of this finger was for to clear up space. Let filter sit for a day and tried it later the next day and got it down to 22 TDS a decent improvement from faucet however not where I was looking to get. Not sure if I’m going to use anymore as zero water container is still going for 3 rd month with literally 0 TDS reading.
Got this to replace original filter that came with my Hotpoint double door refrigerator. Couldn't see paying $50.00 for a filter that they suggest be replaced every 6 months. This looks just like the original and it was only $10.00!!! Put it in with no problem-fit perfectly. Can't tell the difference between this and the super over-priced name brand filter. Will repurchase this when replacement needed. Just hope they continue to be available---and for the same price!!!!
Installed it (or I thought I did) and the water wasn't working. Figured I had to have screwed it up and sure enough, didn't twist it all the way. Once I did that...VOILA! It worked! No leaking problems and working just as well as the name brand one that was previously in the fridge. Will definitely be buying these from now on!
