I've been putting this product through its paces all day. Went for a run, swim, bike ride, and working around the house. No issues with audio quality (it is a bit nicer when listening to on-board storage as opposed to Bluetooth, but that's expected), and the mic seems to pick up my voice well especially for how far away it is from my mouth.
Cracks me up that someone is upset they Bluetooth doesn't work through water and thinks that's somehow the fault of the product. That's why it still has on-board storage! And your mic doesn't work well underwater?! Jeez, shocking.
The whole point of this product is to be both a waterproof walkman and a waterproof and dustproof Bluetooth headset.
I wish there was clarification on whether or not we could order the finger remote separately, but that's my only 'complaint'. If any issues come up, I'll update this review.
These are exactly what I was looking for. It took a couple days for them to feel comfortable but now I can wear them for a couple hours with no problem. The sound is good and the earplugs stay in place and block out most ambient sounds. They dont seem to be affected at all by my big fat sweaty head. I have not tried them under water and probably never will. The menu is easy to navigate. They charge quickly and hold a charge for a long time. The only thing that would make them better is if there was a low battery warning at around 25% power instead of right before they cut out.
Highly recommended for someone that wants them for active use but doesnt want to lug around their iphone/ipad.
Took these out for a swim and they did everything I expected. Software is easy to use, hardware controls are nice, and the selection of ear pieces made getting the right fit very easy. The sound is a little quiet with the swimming ear pieces, but it was acceptable.
I would like to note however: The manual really puts the fear of God into you about making sure you're using the right ear pieces for swimming, and getting them seated on the device properly. The huge number of one and two star reviews (along the lines of "dead after one use", not including the ones involving battery life issues) is a testament to how easy it is to brick these headphones. So for now, I'm giving this Walkman 5 stars, we'll see how long they last.
this is a very smartly enginered device that connected with medium difficulty to my iTunes on a MacBook 12" running High Sierra .
Initially it did not connect at all and that is because I used a CONNECTOR WIRE DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE SHIPPED.
don't do it, at least initially. The software downloaded allowed loadig from iTunes to the MP3 player and listening to the device while swimming as well as manipulating its controls worked just fine.
It may well work with other connecting wires, but I did not try it.
An overall GOOD buy!
I will update this review when/if things change. But so far I've used them while swimming and showering and they have performed really well. Uploading Mp3's to it through windows required just a drag and drop. I was concerned at first about whether or not they would remain secure in my ears while swimming, but they were perfectly stable. A little soft volume-wise, especially since I listen to podcasts. I can see this being a big issue for those who have poor hearing, but for me they are fine.
Excited to get into the water again!

This device is great and probably perfect for all, I would give it 5 stars, even though I returned, but the site description does not warn that this device cannot bluetooth in the water. Was hoping to stream to the device from a nearby device or my apple watch. pairing works, but bluetooth cannot. NOT the device's fault, but should be *NOTED.
Overall the headphones perform as they should. My only issue is that headband could be a little longer. The older models were longer and had a small band that would take up any extra slack. It would be better if the band was longer. I'm 6'4" and have a head proportional to my frame, and not that of 5'10" man.
This is my second pair Sony waterproof earphones. I wanted a Bluetooth function. It works fine. Must say that that bass is better in my older pair. Also, the older pair was more comfortable, but again, maybe is the use that softens the grip. I always use them running and doing sports. Never fall out. So far still need to try them in the pool.
this is lightweight, comfortable and can hold plenty of music for hours of listening. it follows me during my long distance running.
..The battery lasted a bit longer and had a remote like the previous version..
