Pet Dreamland Hands Free Dog Leash - for Running/Hiking/Dog Training - Heavy Duty Extra Long Bungee Lead - Waist Leashes for Dogs (One Small Dog, Black & Red)

I have been a dog owner for almost 7 years and I have tried many simpler leash options but they were nothing extraordinary. I stumbled upon this leash a couple weeks ago and I decided to try it out because it seemed it would fulfill my needs when walking my dobermann (Rocky). He had dislocated my shoulder once I wanted something that would be more shock and vibrations absorbing and would protect my hands. I purchased and started using this leash and I am more than satisfied with it. I like that it is adjustable and can keep Rocky closer to me especially when he is around other dogs because he is very impatient. I personally like to run a lot and I like to take Rocky with me and this leash makes my life sooo much easier because I tie it to my waist and I have a lot more control of him, so every run is more and more enjoyable. Now he has to get used to running more than 7km together with me. I have been approached by other dog owners about it also because it has a really cool design.
Overall, a great product and very affordable at the same time. I will continue to recommend it.

I walk two huskies several times a day. It is a delight to have my hands free. I got a swivel hook to put both leashes on one hook so the dogs can trade places while walking. It is good to have to waist belts is you have two walkers of different sizes because it takes a bit of time to get the fit just right. The bungees on the leashes are good shock absorbers. I would love to see the belt have a wide cushion in the back to offer additional support when the dogs pull. I solved that issue for myself by cutting a bit of a swimming noodle in half and making a back cushion.

First, let me say this would not be a good choice for small or older dogs. There is some weight to the bands and parts even when not being stretched out. I have an adopted 75lb poodle. He walks great on a leash, until he doesn't; squirrel - game over, rabbit - good luck, food - never. Those 3 triggers send him in an all out frenzy, he can't hear my commands let alone remember I'm at the other end of his leash. What this leash system has done is give me back control even under the most egregious circumstances. Twice he stretched this sucker out to its full length but on the 3rd time, paused... yes, he paused and actually heard my commands. No more wondering why my lower back hurts on one side or another, no more wearing my arm out, no more filling all my pockets to the brim with training treats. Once again, even in front of a squirrel, I AM THE ALPHA!

I bought this leash to replace another bungee-type leash that had stretched out as bungee leashes will eventually do.
Here are some pros:
1. adjustable leash length. The multiple rings are fantastic for accommodating the leash length to a particular activity. Very long for walking in uncrowded areas to give my pup some sniffing room; short-ish for walking through crowds.
2. 2 padded handles. The handles are comfortable and they also stick out a bit so that they can be easily grabbed when needed.
3. reflective.
4. seems very sturdy. I have only had it a couple of weeks and am using it with a 9 month old (60 lbs.) lab pup. She responds well to it and recognizes when she gets to the stretchy part without over-pulling and hurting herself.

Right now I can only think of 1 con: definitely not for a small dog! It is a heavy leash and might not be helpful in training a small dog to walk well on a leash.

I have only had it for a weekend so far. My dog and I just spent a few days backpacking in Allegheny National Forest, so it got quite a bit of use. It works nicely, but I do have a few concerns. I can feel the bungies inside of the leash, and one gets significantly narrower right where it's stitched at the end. Since my dog is an ambitious puller, I'm hoping that he hasn't already begun to destroy the bungie. Also, I expected it to be shorter when not stretched. It's probably about 5.5-6 feet long when not stretched, and it Will stretch to 7.5-8 feet. At this length, if my dog decides to heel, it can still get tangled in his legs. Apart from the bungie, it seems well made and the belt works nicely. Hopefully it will last.

Have The Best Dog Leash With The Smartest Design

Probably the smartest part of our Running Leash is the triple bungee cord. Do you know that moment when your dog walks calmly, but, suddenly, it decides to start running like crazy, tugging you along? The elastic will absorb the shock so that the collar won't hurt your dog's neck and the pull will not be too sudden for you.

Are you a night person?

The Dog Elastic Leash helps you out on that. The three seams of luminous reflective stitching that run on both sides of the length of the leash and the belt give you perfect visibility during your evening run with your favourite puppie.

A Strong Leash For Your Small Dog

This leash is very well made and high quality. The design is also excellent. Having the loop handles and D rings is a very good idea. I immediately took out the knots as I often use the full length and it is easy to shorten by simply clipping one end to a D ring. It would certainly be a 5 rating except for one detail. The bungees are very strong, (tight). This is probably great for durability and longevity so not sure if it could be different. But the bungees really don't stretch at all when my dog pulls. She is not that big yet at 4 months and 30 lbs, but she is a mix of things like Shepard and Bull Terrier so very strong. I would call her a strong puller who is getting quite good on walks and will eventually not pull, but still learning about the end of the leash in some situations. I expected the bungee to cushion the jerk for those times she does reach the end of the leash at speed. Maybe it does a bit, but really I don't notice it. It seems about the same as a regular leather leash. I had hoped that a gentle, easier stretch would allow her to realize she was reaching the end of the leash before it abruptly jerked her neck. I can manually stretch the bungee section by pulling each end with my hands, but it is quite tough to stretch it more than a 1/2 inch or so. I am pretty strong so I am stretching hard to get that 1/2 inch or so. This is a minor issue and if you have a full grown large breed puller, the bungees may work better for you. I really love the waist belt and clips as when on walks before, I used to take off my belt and put it through the leash handle loop to have my hands free. This is an easier design.
Strange, I thought I added a comment when I upgraded to 5 stars after using it for a few months. Loosened up a bit and now that my pup is full grown it works petfectly!

The leash appears to be made of quality material and provides multiple lengths for walking and running. Can also just attach to your side instead of trying to put it in a pocket or around your neck when you let the dog off leash. As long as the belt isn't attached too tightly , its easy to swivel from side to side for dogs that are all over the place. The springs offer a bit of protection for your dogs neck or your back when it decides to dart off after a rabbit or squirrel. I think its a great product an work the money.

I've only had the product a week, but for me, the following could have made a great product even better:

1) The location of the secondary handles, were out of reach for me. This is not really a problem with the springs covered co can just pull on that to get to the handle. Perhaps could just add another know, I haven't looked into that.

2) A wider waist band/ or added padding to it to distribute the force from sharp pulls to a wider area.

3) Some type of heady duty clip perhaps with an adjustable location along the leash to be able to clamp a waste bag to when there isn't a trash can nearby. I experimented tying it to the mid ring when fully extended but it bounced are a lot and was awkward so closer to the body or dogs body might be better.

After a lot of researching I settled on this one as it seemed the most sturdy. Why settle on a cheapo one if it tears apart within weeks? The carabiner is sturdy like it shows which is important for running with larger dogs. That said I have a medium size dog and while I prob didn’t need one this heavy duty, I don’t regret it as it probably will last me forever. I don’t recommend for little dogs, it will
be heavier than them.
One thing is that it doesn’t come with a poop bag carrier so I need to go buy another one. I use this for runs only and not short walks. I’ve had to attach a separate carabiner and tie a baggie on each time I go for a run with him. Also not sure I want a dispenser hitting me while I’m running, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t come with it? I have forgotten to take a bag with me which as we know is no bueno.
Also for small waisted folks and small hips, this will not work. I’ve had to readjust while running as it slips down. I have it on the tightest it will go. I wear size 25/26 so there you go.

I went to a Humane Society fundraiser over this past weekend and used this leash for the first time. I didn't use the part that goes around the waist, because my plan was to be more hands-on than that due to multiple other dogs being there. The leash is great! the many ways and places to grab the leash made it feel very intuitive and it was easy to pull my dog in closer when more, let's just say "energetic" dogs were nearby. The leash was a big hit with other attendees who asked where they could buy one as well. I'd say money well spent!

I bought 2 to use on a recent camping trip where I knew we would be doing a lot of hiking with our 2 dogs. These were perfect. The leashes are made with quality materials but are surprisingly heavy. Our dogs are around 20 to 25 pounds and seemed unbothered by the weight, but I don't know if I would get them if I had a tiny dog. It was so nice to have hands free to stop and take photos while having peace of mind that my dogs were still tethered to us. My husband was skeptical that we needed these but after a couple of uses, kept saying how wonderful these leashes were. They made hikes and walks easier and so much more comfortable. My only complaint is inconsequential to how the leashes performed (which was exceptional) and is regarding the red color that is inside the leash handles. I wish there were more options and was probably the only think I did not like about the leashes, but that is not worthy of removing a star from the rating.
