I was going to spend over a hundred dollars to add a strip light under my kitchen cabinets, but these are better. Doubles as a flashlight if the power goes out!
I live in a house that was built in 1889, when electricity was installed in the house they were not kind enough to add lights to my closets... this light however has been excellent. Works wonderfully in my bedroom closet. The motion sensitivity is great. The minute I enter the closet the light kicks on. I used the magnetic mounting option and it has held the light in place until it is time to recharge it. On the topic of recharging, I have had to recharge the light about once every 3 months after going in and out of the closet about 2-3 times a day. Overall, it is a great product and has been great in the closet.
I like having my closet well lit. I need easily to recognize colors and patterns. So when I moved into a house where my closet did not have a light, I started looking for a battery operated solution. It took me theee different LED light products but I finally found it. I got the 64 LED and it is perfect for a 4ft by 4 ft closet. Easy to charge the rechargeable battery with a mini USB port.
I searched long and hard before settling on this product to light my closet, and I'm delighted to report it works wonderfully! The light is quite bright so I can see everything in my closet well. It's a small walk-in closet so one unit does the job perfectly, but if you have a bigger closet you may want to add 1+.
I didn't have enough room to drill the light into the shelf over my clothes so I used hard core velcro to attach the base. The lighting unit attaches magnetically to the base so it comes off easily when I need to recharge it. I plan on buying a fwe more of these for other areas and highly recommend the product.
These work awesome, but it does matter how you mount it. The sensor does not have a 360 degree range, so pointing the sensor a certain direction will affect how close you need to get before the light will turn on. I changed the positioning on these quite a few times before I got it to work the way I wanted. I've seen some reviews where people complain that you have to get 1 to 2 feet away before the light will turn on. This usually means you have the sensor pointing straight toward the floor . I have one mounted under my kitchen cabinet and I wanted the light to turn on when I walk into the kitchen, approximately 8 feet away. I first mounted it underneath my cabinet, toward the front of the cabinet, with the sensor (clear plastic dome) pointing down toward the floor. Meaning you would have to lay on the floor & look up to read the product name "OxyLED" printed on the front of the product. The light would not turn on until I got approximately 1 to 2 feet away. I was considering returning it to Amazon, until I started playing with the positioning of the light. I was able to pry the magnetic sticky tape off the bottom of my cabinet using a screwdriver. It actually came off fully intact and was still usable. I then mounted the light all the way to the back of my cabinet, still under the lip, but now with the sensor facing toward me (meaning if you hold the light bar out in front of you, you will be able to read the words "OxyLED" upright). So for example, you hold the product in front of you so you can read the product name, and then if you were to stick it right onto a wall while still being oriented that way, this is how you get the 10-foot sensor range (see attached pic). So now the sensor turns on up to 10 feet away when I walk into my kitchen from both directions. Works awesome.
Now I had another situation where I didn't want the light to turn on from so far away. I have my dogs dishes set close to a wall in my dining room, which is a pretty dark room. I mounted this light underneath the window ledge (on the window ledge itself, and not the wall), with the sensor pointing down (I also attached another pic showing this). I did this intentionally so the light would only turn on when my dog walks up to his bowls to eat. So now, I can walk in and out of the room and this light does not come on. But it does come on when my dog goes near his bowls to eat, which once again, the dog dishes are approximately 2 feet from the sensor. So I actually like that the sensor can be mounted different ways, affecting how close you have to get before the light turns on. I apologize for the rambling, but hopefully this will save some others time as it took me a few attempts to figure this out. So I would highly recommend this product! And the 3M magnetic tape is an awesome way to mount these. No drilling of holes or screws needed. Once these are mounted, you can pull the light itself off the magnetic strip to charge it, then easily put the light back where it goes. A USB charging cable is provided, and I simply use one of the adapters from my cell phone to plug it into a wall. And it takes under an hour to fully charge, and they're supposed to last for months on a single charge. I absolutely love this product!

This light is working very well for my needs. The 36 LEDs put out a lot of light under the kitchen cabinet where I currently have it mounted. The sensor seems to be quite responsive and easily picks up movement to turn the light on. I like the face that it has a magnetic strip to attach it which makes the light easy to remove from the surface where I have it mounted. The bottom of the light is recessed so that the magnetic strip fits into it which makes removal and reattaching quite easy. I often remove the light and take it to other places when I need some extra light which it produces plenty of. It basically becomes a very large flashlight that can be transported where needed.The light itself is much longer than I expected which is nice under the cabinet as it provides plenty of light. The light can be controlled via a small control on the end which provides auto, on and off settings. So far I am quite happy with this light.
Works great! I put this under my bathroom vanity so it lights up when I have those late night visits to the bathroom. I placed tape over the light and used a blue sharpie to get the blue light effect. The charge lasts several weeks.
For years I’ve been fumbling about in the dark for items in my safe. No more! This simple and inexpensive light does the same job with as much effectiveness as a several hundred dollar upgrade of a lighted safe. Instead of using the mounting screws or magnet (which was not strong enough to pick up the metal behind the felted interior of my safe), I took a small strip of Velcro and adhered it to the back of the light.
