Although I am not using it with the magnetic part, I needed a larger pencil holder and is nice and roomy. Makes my desk look less cluttered. Someday I might put it somewhere else where I might need the magnetic part.
Magnets are very strong, hung on side of file cabinet by desk. Doesn't slide out of position. Because it is all mesh, I cut heavy cardboard and put in the bottom of each holder so the tips of items woudn't get caught in the mesh and tear it.
Holds full-size stapler, large scissors, dozens of pens; strong magnets.

I ordered this pencil holder recently and i am very satisfied with the product. I was afraid that it was gomna be quite big but when i got the package it was perfect size. I use it on my small whiteboard so it looks big but when i use it on the refrigerator it looks perfect.
