Great customer service! After not receiving the umbrella more than a week past the delivery date, I contacted Marino via Amazon and they responded promptly, immediately offering a full refund but I really wanted this umbrella and they were kind enough to ship another AND even let me change colors (I went with black instead). The umbrella arrived quickly, perfectly wrapped in the leather sleeve others have mentioned (a nice touch and attention to detail!). The umbrella also has its own carrying sleeve which is useful. I'm no umbrella expert but it feels like quality, opens with a firm and solid feel. Just know it's a BIG umbrella - check the dimensions. I think the square design makes it feel even larger and expect to hold it high above other people as you walk on narrow sidewalks, but I wanted a big umbrella and I got it! No complaints.
Purchased this over a year ago and I've had zero complaints. Reading the one-star reviews makes me think some people got the wrong product. First, this umbrella doesn't have metal in the actual spines. They're made of the same carbon fiber that the handle section is made of. The only metal in the canopy section is the rivets, the spring, and some smaller pieces in the extending mechanism. Possibly something in the opening button, but I'm not taking it apart to find out.
I can't speak to the UV resistance as I only being this out for rain and now snow. For the wind resistance, I've been impressed. I got caught facing the wrong way in some pretty strong wind with this thing, enough that I had to grab it with both hands, and it didn't bend or turn inside out. It just yanked me along.
I'm super happy about this purchase. I wanted an umbrella that our family could use to take to the beach with us so we have a source of shade for our young children, without being overly large. It's a great size and will be great if we ever need it for rain as well. It's a great thing to have on hand in our car. It seems to be great quality and surpassed our expectations. It comes with a carrying case as well. I am happy with the shape and size and think it was a perfect choice. It's also nice to know it's "lightning proof", but I like that there are no metal edges to poke our children. The button to automatically open the umbrella is a pretty cool feature as well.
Thank you Marino . I bought another large umbrella on here which could not even hold up to a 8 mph wind . This is real quality with a push button release . Very nice handle and plenty of arms that are sturdy . Maybe the best Umbrella I ever bought and not just for golf but personal use around town . Pure quality worth every penny of full price . So glad I didn't pass on the winter sale because I had already bought a junk one from another company . God Bless .
As a big guy, I wanted a large umbrella that provide adequate coverage, and would also resist the gusts of wind. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is that this is marketed as "windproof", which isn't accurate. I have had it invert in moderate wind gusts (perhaps around 20 mph). However, it is more resistant to wind than other umbrellas I've used, and nothing broke or splintered when it did invert. If the seller marketed it as wind-resistant instead of windproof, I would consider that accurate and give it five stars.

Very intelligent umbrella design as far as I am concerned. The straight edges make it tend to stay in place when placed on the grass on windy days. The large coverage is very good and effective. I haven’t had it long enough to judge its durability, but it seems well-made. The mechanism to open it is very easy for one hand and works great. Looks great and comes with a protective cover to keep it that way.
Bought this to use when walking my dog, Love the fact that now both of us hardly get wet. This product is sturdy and I expect to get years of use out of it. I especially like the shape which gives you more protection than the conventional umbrella.,
I love everything about this umbrella. I was attracted by the square shape and definitely had to have not one, not two, but three (Gray, Burgundy, and Navy). I will be sending one to a friend who lives in Barbados. The weather has been sunny since I received them so have not had an opportunity to use in rain. However I opened them to test, and I love that for an umbrella that size there is a push button to open. The handle is quite comfortable and soft. Overall they appear to be very sturdy umbrellas that will last for years (unless stolen or lost).
Not a negative but the product description stated that the umbrella comes in modern packaging that can serve as a gift box. All three umbrellas came in the same box, and it was a regular shipping box.
The top of the umbrella came off literally as I was taking it out of the carrying case for the first time. Both this part and the cushion for the handle (which also came off) are held on with a single tiny dot of hot glue. Good umbrella besides that, but come on.

I was impressed when I received this umbrella. It came in a faux leather looking protection holster (see photo). But what surprised me was how nice this umbrella is. I guess I always bought cheap umbrellas before now, but I liked the shape of this umbrella and splurged. I know this review sounds like I got a free umbrella, but I did not receive anything for this review. I am just impressed with the umbrella! Tim
