Highly recommend the product. Very easy to set up. Great for permanent installation or for events and party. And the price is reasonable, very worth what I cost.
Part of our tv is rough so we applied black duck tape to back of tv where strip went. We then placed with blue removable tape to make sure it was correct distance from edge to complete the rectangle on the tv. We removed the banking and stuck to tv little by little and reinforced with black duck tape strips. Everyone loves it and I don’t see it ever falling off!!!
Two things...make sure to get the correct length, if you want to have the center, in the “center”. I had to trim a couple of feet off on one side, which made the “center” display a little off center...No big deal. Second, if you get two for the same location, each strip has its own controller...which means they aren’t “in synch”. I think I would prefer that they synced, but again...no big deal for me. They work so great, that doesn’t matter so much. You can’t beat these for the price. I highly recommend!

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to have a music activated LED strip that is more than just flashing on and off. It has 4 different music modes and you can change the color in only 2 of those. The LED strip is a healthy 16 feet 4 inches and fairly simple to put up wherever you chose. They are water proof but not something I would put outside or under water but you can use them in a bathroom that might have a humidity issue because of steam. The strip in music mode is activated by a microphone on the strip control. There is no remote but it has an app called IHoment which is fairly painless to install and mess around with on your phone and so the bluetooth works well from across my living room. This product does not sync to music you are playing from your phone and works solely on the microphone pickup. The app on your phone is to only set modes and cycle through colors.
This is basically a good entry level set for 31 dollars (even better if on sale). If you want something more advanced you are going to have to start buying different components and you better have a soldering iron and know how to use it. Until that point this is a great strip of LEDs that are a vast upgrade from your basic strip of LEDs that just flash on and off.
Pros:
Led strip packaged well with good instructions.
Lights have more features than others being able to have individual LED's at different colors the main reason I bought them.
Sound activation very responsive.
Cons:
Pictures on Amazon show a rainbow effect of colors but I have tried everything to get this mode but can't.
Microphone for sound activation is extremely sensitive and I have not found a way to adjust this.
I know the app is new but hopefully more features will be added like a speed adjusted fade from one color to the next
Very easy to install, adds a great effect to our living room. Installed about one week ago with no isses. The sound activated setting is a great feature when music is playing, looks very impressive and is a lot of fun.
