We purchased this for our daughter, she loves taking pictures. It has a hard outer shell to protect it if its dropped (which protects it well, it's already been dropped several times!). Its a cute kids camera, pur daughter likes the different borders that can be used. The handles make this camera super easy to hold. The camera does require a memory card to function. Overall it functions great and our daughter really enjoys playing with it.
Cameras have come a long way from my childhood experience of using Polaroids, and for the tech savvy generation I'd expect no less than digital cameras for them too. The camera uses batteries so you may want to buy those too when you purchase those.
The camera has a nice grip on the side for uncoordinated hands and it's very durable!! The photos look amazing for being a kids digital camera. Bad low light but, we all know that is normal for a kids camera.
My oldest son is 7 and I encourage him to take photos of his life with it at school and to express his view of the world with this little gadget and it's been a really great device and held up against second graders and rough play pretty well.

Cute little camera for kids that actually takes real pictures. Great design and is great for if they drop it. It has a few fun frames you can use for the pictures. Easy for little kids to use. A little disappointed that it didn't come with an SD card and you can't use it without. Also the quality of pictures isn't that great. Overall though it's a decent kids camera.
