KastKing Rack 'em Up Portable Aluminum Fishing Rod Holder - 24 Rods Rack

This rod rack was definitely a great purchase ! I have always been the guy that just hung rods on the wall with nails. I wanted something sturdy as well as easy to move if needed. This rod rack fit my needs. I will definitely order another. It took only about 4-5 min to put it together and no tools needed!

It holds smaller rigs easily, but 12 is a stretch. I put my larger rigs on the sides and swing them out to the edges. I love how it keeps everything organized. Parts fit together perfectly and I assembled in 5 or 10 minutes and I am NOT handy. at all.

I'm a Saltwater Offshore fisherman and I had some doubts about the rack based upon a couple of reviews. I'm VERY HAPPY with it and that is why I posted the picture with my review. The majority of my rods are 5'6" with TLD 30 2 speeds and a couple of TLD 50s two speed. I have 2 6' rods with TLD 30s. I was able to store 7 Trolling rods and 3 bottom rods on the 24 rod rack. These are stored in a closet at my condo. I'm going to buy another one for my Spinning rods.
Buy one and you won't be sorry!!!
Tight Lines

This is a well made rod rack. I love that it has enough space to hold all of my rods comfortably and even with low ceilings in my house the rods stand without touching the top. No wonder KastKing won best of show for this rod rack. You need to get one.

Works great! Better than expected. Seen a review on tackletour.com and decided to pull the trigger. Glad I did!

KastKing Rack 'em Up 24 Fishing Rods Holder from Eposeidon is THE best rack I have owned! This 24 rod holder won awards at the ICAST 2015 as a great product then and is still just as great! It is all aluminum and very light weight. It took only about 5 minutes to put together and no tools are required. Every piece is made in great detail and looks nice as well. I have many rods and have no issues putting them all in the rack. Some will not have reels as it is hard to get every single slot filled with a rod and reel as the reels hit each other but it does well in holding 24 rods alone for those that take care of their reels and store in another location. I like this so much i am ordering another one for Christmas!

If you are reading this your search is over. This is is a reliable, well organized and great looking fishing rack. Do yourself a favor get the 24 if you have more than 7 poles because you will probably out grow the 12.

The assembly is pretty simple took less than 15 minutes and that included me putting my rods and nets on it. Do yourself a favor and have a leveler handy for the bottom part of the rack.

I like this rod rack so much, I'm likely to buy a few more! It's brilliantly engineered, no tools or hardware needed to set up, very stable, should be durable and looks great in my man cave! I've got a large collection of fishing rods and this rack helps keep them organized and safe. It's a much better way to organize and protect expensive fishing rods than by stacking them up in a corner somewhere. The HydraYak video is a review and setup of the KASTKING 24 Rod Rack

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this product, and must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by several aspects of the product:
- The design is solid, light, and very stable.
- Quality of the materials seems high.
- "Fit and Finish" is very good, and the finished product presents a professional appearance. Parts fit together tightly.

Room for improvement:
- Assembly: Many of the parts fit together SO tightly that they require a fair amount of force to assemble. Close tolerances are great, but it's possible to take that a little far...
- The instructions could use some callouts to ensure customers are aware of how things need to be aligned before assembly is begun. I recommend studying the photos before you start so you avoid mistakes. Because the parts fit together so tightly, you'll find it hard to get them apart if you make a mistake.
When you insert the pillars into the bases, make sure the slots are 90 degrees from the feet. (If the feet are oriented north-south, the slots should be east or west so that the slots face INWARD when the rack shelf is mounted.)
Be sure you have the foam rests oriented in the right direction before you put the end brackets on, as those will be nearly impossible to remove later. The foam faces INWARD on the lower shelf, and OUTWARD on the upper shelf.
- Capacity is over-rated. If you like to keep the reels on the rods, and like to keep the types of rods grouped together, (casting, spinning, trolling, etc), you'll find it challenging to get 24 rods on this rack in a way that makes them readily accessible. Notice that in their product photo, there are 12 rods, but only 8 reels. You'll need to creatively mix reel types and blank rods in order to fit 24 rods on this rack. It would be great in a retail outlet where reels aren't mounted, but it's tight if you like to leave your reels mounted (and who doesn't?).

Overall, I would buy and recommend this product again, but would be careful to set expectations about capacity up front.

Purchased the 24 fishing rod holer for my dad and he loves it. It's definitely a space saver and he did not have any problems placing all the rods on it with the reels facing the same way. I'd assume with saltwater/fly fishing reels, they are a lot larger so you may have to face them opposite of each other on every other rod but no problems with the freshwater reels. The rod holder is built pretty well so I don't think I'm going to have any problems with it breaking down. We had a cheaper one that we bought at Cabela's but it just wasn't very sturdy and got kind of messy and unorganized because they lined up in a circle rather than in a straight line like this. Granted this one was a bit more pricey so that could be comparing apples to oranges. No regrets though, you get what you pay for!
