Isle Bay Linens Men’s Standard Fit Short Sleeve Casual Shirt Army Green XX-Large

I bought this shirt for my husband. Our daughter is getting married on the beach with a laid back
Beach ceremony. Perfect for a beach wedding paired with khaki pants

Looks great, a little long. Husband says material feels itchy though, not 200% linen

Lightweight fabric. Launders and irons beautifully. Great shirt.

A good shirt for a good price.

Great color

I got an education today. This shirt is 50/50 Ramie and Cotton. I had to look up what ramie was.

It seems ramie is equal to or stronger than cotton. It was used in mummy cloths in Egypt from 5k to 3k BC. I had fun learning about this, so maybe some of you will as well. Here's just a list of properties and disadvantages:

Advantages:
-Resistant to bacteria, mildew, alkalis, rotting, light, insect attack
- Extremely absorbent
- Natural stain resisting ability
- Not harmed by mild acids
- Dyes fairly easily
- Increases in strength when wet
- Withstands high water temps
- Smooth, lustrous appearance improves with washing
- Doesn't shrink
- Can be bleached

Disadvantages:
- Low in elasticity
- Low abrasion resistance
- Wrinkles easily (but blending fibers or using a wrinkle-resistant finish can help)
- Stiff and brittle
- Higher cost due to labor & processing needed to remove its natural gum and pectins

In this shirt, it's on the thin side. It feels just like a light weight linen to me, which is slightly stiff, but it also feels like it's softening a great deal with washing.

-Machine wash cold, non-chlorine bleach if need, tumble low, warm iron
- Made in China
- A single left breast pocket
- Stitching and seams are well-done

He says it is rather stiff to wear, but not abrasive or anything. So, right now, we don't love it, but it's made well enough that it's a good 4 stars for us. If it does soften up, I'll update.

A very lightweight, breathable weave in a comfortable warm-weather shirt from this new Amazon private label. The "Standard Fit" makes for a size "L" that's a comfortable-to-loose fit on my average-to-athletic 5'11" build. The length is decent for tucking and just barely short enough for non-tucking. The fabric doesn't have the bulkiness I find in many linen shirts.

All too often, I find "L" men's shirts are either super long with space for a big belly, or extra tight across the shoulders and arms-- aimed at either plus-size folks, or skinny youngsters. It's nice to find something in the middle ground that works for a build like mine.

Technically this is not a linen shirt, but a "linen style" shirt since it's made of a Ramie / Cotton blend. Ramie is similar to linen, but is made from a different plant, so the branding is a bit misleading. The fabric is also not the softest, and the shirt could be a little shorter in the hem. For all of that I dock a star from my rating.

Recommended if you want a loose fitting, lightweight weave for warm-weather wear.

I’ve got this in two colors. Be warned that white is transparent, Aqua is not.
This shirt will wrinkle when you wear it, wrinkle some more when you wash it. This isn’t for long travel unless you pack an iron.
The stitching is solid, and the buttons are maybe twice as thick as what you get on a dress shirt. They’re imitation shell buttons, molded translucent plastic with a white back; pretty good quality.
The collar is decent and the weave is somewhere between a dress shirt (too tight) and a 3rd world sugar sack (too loose). I think it’s just right for a casual evening when it’s hot out.
I like that the price is low enough that I won’t worry about my next indelible food fumble.
