I've been taking this for a couple of months. I wanted to see how it affected me long term before writing a review. Long story short, the last ten years of my life have been a beat down, starting with the 2008 recession and a new career in 2009. I noticed more and more that I didn't want to do as much, didn't have any enjoyment of what I had in the past. I just was existing. It was like I was asleep and my life was going by and I didn't care. I began to notice that I just laid in bed and watched TV if I was home. I have a sofa and chairs in my living room that I have never sat on. Antidepressants make me bananas. They are too strong for me and the side effects are worse than the depression. I have tried many things and found my best results with SAMe and St John's Wort. I decided to try this and I have to say it has worked very well. It began with me getting out of bed and cleaning out all my old junk in my house. Then I planted a garden. I started teaching a class at work and volunteered for a week of CE classes. At some point made my bed and didn't get back into it until night. I cooked something, which is a miracle. I got rid of some dirtbag acquaintances. It was like an invigorating wind blew into my soul and blew out all the cobwebs. I feel so much better and I didnt realize how bad I felt until I didnt feel that way anymore. I haven't had any side effects. I have energy when I'm supposed to and I sleep normally. I highly recommend this to anyone who finds antidepressants overwhelming and needs help with their mood.
First off, this is a completely unsolicited review and I paid 60 bucks for this like everyone else! Secondly, I rarely write reviews for anything I buy on Amazon and I buy alot of stuff. I felt it necessary as this review may help some prospective buyers make decisions. A little history about me..Im an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran and currently a first responder so I've had my share of downs in life. Kind of comes with the territory. I was back and forth on this product many times. In the cart, out of the cart etc. I pulled the trigger and bought this a few days ago. I'm on day 3. I started immediately at 2 caps in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. At the end of the first day I couldn't explain it but I felt calmer and was taking things more in stride. As of today, I'm officially feeling good. I'm not doing cartwheels down the street or anything, I'm just feeling good. I'm clearly being much more present and engaged and I can see this happening with myself because I'm pretty self aware. This formulation they have going here works and I'm honestly shocked but at the same time ecstatic that I have access to this. Can a silly supplement actually do anything to help with anxiety, stress, and mood? I asked myself that question and the only way to find the answer was to give it a shot and I did. Never in a million years did I think something like this would work. I’m not into supplements and I’m really not a fan of some of the gimmicks out there in the supplement world. For some reason I decided to give this one a shot and boy am I happy I did.

Genius Joy has definitely helped manage the high stress levels and has helped her mood quite a bit! I have been taking the product for a couple of days now, but only two in the morning. I bought the Genius Sleep to take at night. This is a little difficult to explain but I am currently experiencing a negative situation and it has had quite a lot of power over my thoughts including worry, anxiety, and fear. I have had strong emotional reactions to this situation and been preoccupied as most of us are when we lack the control necessary to resolve it. The best way I can explain the response to the supplement is that although the situation is still there, I am no longer threatened or worried about it. I am not thinking about it in the same way, and in fact the supplement seems to help with the preoccupation I had been experiencing. I had been almost at the end of my rope trying to locate a supplement to assist in handling my at-times crippling anxiety and depression. I came across this product after researching the negative effects of a malfunctioning vagus nerve and products to assist in its repair. $60 was quite a leap of faith for me after the many hundreds I'd already spent on other products, but now, only TWO days after starting this supplement, I feel better than I have in a year. A YEAR.
You begin with taking one pill twice a day for the first three days to see whether your body is going to do all right with it. After the first pill on the first day, I started to get a headache and felt a little out of sorts, but in a different way than what I'm "used" to. It wasn't a migraine-type headache (I have definitely had those), but it was uncomfortable.
But something else was happening as well. The best way I can describe it is pathways in my body were starting to wake up and "adjust". Something WAS changing in my mind and body, and I just innately knew it was for the better. Some of the anxiety I've been continually feeling the past six months was also subsiding--just a bit. This gave me hope and was enough for me to take the second pill that day.
The second day I got a headache but it was much less. There was more mental "alignment" and my anxiety was greatly diminished. My outlook on life was greatly improved.

I ordered the Genius Joy to try because I deal with Major Depressive Disorder and have for many years. I wanted to try something different than what the doctors prescribe you.. I almost had to give it 4 stars because it was TOO EFFECTIVE. I work as a casino banker in a cardroom and it isn’t a stressful job, at all, but it can get hectic when there’s a lot of Action/money on the table and the game goes by FAST! This stuff truly does work. I recently stopped ADD medication and needed something to counteract brain fog, mood issues, memory retention and concentration. I have tried other "neuro" supplements with no luck but with this one is night and day. I was hesitant because of the high price but found at the end of the day the pro's outweigh the cons. I noticed that although I don't get the intense focus that medication provides, I feel calmer and more centered because I am no longer on stimulants. Once my brain fog cleared I feel I have close to the same mental clarity and focus, just a bit more tired than I would be on stimulants. For me, this stuff has been a game changer. If I forget to take it first thing in the morning, I notice later in the day that my brain fog returns. When I take it, I feel great again. I also notice little things don't get to me as much as when I was on the medication. Highly recommended, especially if you are looking to go a more natural route. The one downfall is the price. I wish this would be more affordable for more people. Overall, I feel this is a great product.
