We could not be happier with this comb! We have a small Labradoodle named Sadie. Her hair is mostly poodle and we have been struggling to keep it from tangling and matting. We brush/comb her every night and still she mats. We ordered this comb almost as a last resort as we had tried multiple brushes, combs and detangling spray. This comb is by far the best thing we have found and she tolerates it much better than any of the brushes we tried. We are fans of this comb!
I have a Maine Coon and her undercoat gets mats in it all the time. I’ve been searching for a good brush to keep her mat free and help with shedding (we have black cat fur tumble weeds all over the house). After using the brush one time all her mats are out with minimal effort, no crying or from either of us. I can’t say that it’s helped with shedding yet since I just used it. But getting the mats and tangles was so easy! Love it! As you can see from the photo she’s got a lot of hair and it’s gross but that’s what I was able to do with 5 minutes of brushing!
My short hair cat is 20 years old and has gradually cut down on his self-grooming to the point he's not grooming at all. He developed matting in his coat as a result. I bought this comb hoping I'd be able to work the mats out gradually . Well I used it and the mats were removed quickly and painlessly for the cat. I just grabbed onto the matted area close to the skin and held it while I combed through it. Some of the fur did come out but the matted fur was quickly removed and without pain to the cat. Great product.....so happy I bought it! Don't hesitate if you're on the fence with this one.
I will never buy a different brand of comb again. I bought this for my skittish little toy poodle who I rescued a few years ago. She must have had a really awful grooming experiences prior to coming to me because she fights during a simple combing. This comb is great-- It will go through many tangles easily and I had almost no squirming.. I am going to purchase the mat cutter next, it's already in my amazon cart. Not only is it a great comb, but it has a comfortable handle that is perfect for arthritic hands like mine.
Fantastic comb for me and my little Shih Tzu. The handle is very comfortable and makes it easy to maneuver. My little princess has a top knot and every morning we use to struggle to get the right section of Hair. It is no easy task. But the width and double level teeth of this comb make it a breeze. And my boy likes the way it feels. In general he enjoys f grooming very much — except his face. He doesn’t seem to mind combing his beard/ muzzle with this comb. It cuts our daily groom time in half.

I have been trying to find a good product to use on my long haired Ragdoll cat & I haven't had any luck until now ! This product is a great tool for long haired cat's that can get matted quick if you don't have a good comb that is deep enough to get completely through all of the hair. I like this comb...To be honest..I bought it for me....I have short haired cats but I have long hair and in the winter I really suffer with tangles...doesn't matter what conditioner I use....years ago we had a longed haired cat and I bought a detangle comb and found out it works great on my hair...so I needed a new one!!! What amazed me is it isn't sold in the human combs....I remembered to go to pet section!!!!!
This comb with the layered tines works great to remove those pesky puppy mats that get tangled up in my Cocker Spaniels' coats. The handle is very comfortable and fits well in my hand.
