We left a package of chicken in our car over 100 degree weather for 3 days by accident. Nothing was working to get the smell of hell out. Nothing. We bought these after attempts of using deodorizers. About a week after using these the smell is gone. I’m literally shocked at how well it worked. Will continue using these in various places. 1,000% worth the money. Be patient and give it time, they are NOT overnight fixes. I emailed the company in desperation after day 2 and they wrote back immediately stating to allow up to 2 weeks. They were not wrong.
I use this in my daycare classroom that used to always smell like poop (so gross, but also so true). The smell has miraculously gone away. You have no idea how happy this makes me!
I’m not one to take the time to write reviews but I can’t say enough about these charcoal bags. I have air purifiers in just about every room in my house and after seeing my electric bill this summer I decided I needed to try something different . We all have allergies and we have two dogs. My foyer was beginning to have an odor alerting everyone who walked in the front door that we had animals . I could never stand that about any house ...you shouldn’t be able to smell the animals !! When I was spending a fortune on air purifying filters that didn’t even seem to take care of the problem completely I decided to try these charcoal bags. I was no way expecting them to work as well as they have. I put 1 in each bedroom and one in my foyer and after three days and a heat wave , when the house usually spells its worse, I came home from work and walked in the door to no more odor!!! I am amazed!! I have spent and an enormous amount of money, and countless hours trying to find the best purifiers !And here I spent $20 to purify 4 rooms when I was paying more than that for one replacement filter !! Needless to say I am very happy with my purchase and will be ordering more for every room in the house !!
I’ve used other brands of these in the past and these are by far my favorite! I even got an email from the owner asking me about my purchase and if I was satisfied. Seems like now with everything that customer service is nonexistent but not with this company!! Super pleased with the product and the company. I will definitely buy this again in the future!
This product is wonderful. I have a freshly painted house and I purchased these to try and absorb some of the paint fumes, and it worked great. I would recommend this product.

I was surprised how well they worked in the funky smelling walk-in closet in this apartment I just moved into. I kept the door open to allow for air flow and had them sitting on wire shelves. Within a week the smell diminished greatly.
I love these things! For years I used conventional sneaker balls. Never again! I left these in my work boots overnight and by morning all I could smell was leather. Even my wife was impressed. If you work on your feet, pick up a set of these. You'll be happy.
I have an elderly cat with "digestive issues." Nothing I tried, and I mean nothing, cleared the air. At best I was masking the odor, and then only barely. With nothing to lose, I bought these, followed the direx (easy as pie -- just remember to jump-start them each month with a few hours in the sun), and waited a few days. Do NOT expect a sudden transformation. But based on my experience, one day it will dawn on you that you're walking into a home that no longer smells. The very feel of the air changes. I cannot recommend this product enough. I purchased 6, and have just ordered a few more for my basement.
My mother had a roof leak in a coat closet that went undetected for the summer. Needless to say, everything needed to be washed in order to get rid of the musty odor. That worked well for most items, but there where hats, boots, and furs that could not be washed. I thoroughly cleaned away the mold that had grown on the ceiling of the closet and hung up one of these bags on a coat hanger. Within a day or two all the mustiness was gone - even from the items that could not be washed!
I've used these in my house just to freshen up areas where the dogs sleep and to help with moisture in the bathroom. We did find that they don't get rid of rotten egg smell from the carpet of a car...don't ask, it was horrible!
I think they may be a bit overpriced for a bag of charcoal, but it they work, I guess they are worth it.
The bags were bigger than I thought they'd be, which I'm glad. I was waiting to write a review because it says they may take a week or two to work. After about a week, I opened the cupboard that has always smelled like mold and "viola" the smell is GONE! I will now open the rest of the bags and place them around my old tiny house that always smells musty, damp and moldy. My only question is, it says once a month put them out in 8 hours of sunshine. On the coast, we don't have 8 hours of sunshine at one time, hardly ever, in the winter - so how do you refresh these?
