I saw this advertised through Kinja Deals when it was marked down. It has made for some nice decorative lighting. I wound up the string and placed it inside a quart Mason jar. Very nice.
My only complaint would be that you need to plug it into a USB port. I know the description says as such, but a battery pack would have been a bit more versatile in my opinion. Still worth the buy.
I bought this for my friend. She was looking for this long time ago. She saw the light for the picture in one of the drama she watched and she loved it. She uses the clips to hang the pictures of her baby to track her growth through her first 20 months. The one thing she didn’t read clearly enough was it it does require AA batteries, which is not include it, so I bought the AA batteries from Walmart for her. I recommend to buy rechargeable batteries because it will save you time to keep buy new batteries. Because the light set is battery only, it gives a lot of freedom on where you can put and hang these throughout your house. I really recommend these as a find a way to brighten up a room with family/friends pictures.
Clips are incredibly sturdy and well made; will hold heavy cards to tiny thin photos; better than I had anticipated. Lights are a very dim soft yellow, won't light up any room but makes a nice "night light" effect. Mine are hung over my wet bar and I've already gotten several nice compliments on them, just slowly adding pictures :) To people that complained the remote or functions of the lights didn't work properly..... Mine didn't either when I initially plugged them in, probably my fault as I started pressing buttons on remote BEFORE reading directions. (swear this is all i did to fix it) So I unplugged the strand and reconnected them with no issues this time, everything functions properly. Now every time you turn them off then back on you have to reset which setting you want the lights on, but they do perform exactly as according to the directions.
These LEDs look awesome, and I love the warm quality of the light, it has a relatively good CRI. However, one of the two strings had some sort of epoxy or silicone compound that had leaked from the back of the connector onto the contacts. I was able to pull the excess material out with a pair of fine steel tweezers, but it seems like this should not be happening. Overall satisfied since I was able to fix it.

These are very cute and bright. I found a use for them but they were a lot smaller and shorter in length than I was expecting based on the picture but they turned out great in my background for taking photos. Just be advised they are tiny like little fireflies on a very thin wire, which turned out to be cool because you can't even see the wire or the tape where we applied everything in the photo!! Depending on who you are wanting to use them for, just make sure you are aware of the length and purchase enough for your purpose.

I love these. I *wish* the product photos could do it justice, but they really don't (especially the coiled photos). They are lovely dew drops of light left on a shiny cooper trail. The aesthetic is wonderful.
And they work exactly as advertised.
Literally the *only* reason I'm not giving these 5 out of 5 is I hope they revisit the aesthetic of the USB portion of the light string. It kind of has ugly translucent, bulky, early iMac vibes. It's not a deal breaker as that part is mostly hidden - but it would go a long way to improve it and not force the user to make sure they hide that portion.
Otherwise, buy buy buy.. the're great!
I couldn't give a 5 star to this purchase but it is my fault not yours. I mistakenly purchased two boxes of the usb version. Why there is a USB version and why it is shown with the other (battery) is beyond me. Nevertheless, it stated USB and I didn't pick up on it. I am using them where ever I can and picked up a couple of USB plugs. They work fine but of course can only be used by a plug. (I don't need my computer lit up). Still bright lights and work fine. (I re-ordered and have received the correct lights)
These are nice sets of lights that can be used for many purposes. Both of mine came packaged together, which caused a little initial confusion, and then concern that perhaps they would be damaged with little cushioning between sets. BOTH set of lights work and give off a very inviting, warm glow. One of the pair, however does seem to flicker a bit, which cause some concern as to their longevity. I have no problems with the other set. Many people seem concerned about the delicacy of these lights. I have a few strands from different manufacturers, that is just the nature of the beast with this type of lighting. The ability to shape the wire is great, but that oes not mean you shouldn't handle with care. The issue that I can not seem to resolve, with these particular lights as well as the other "fairy lights" I have, is the matter of connection. RIGHT now I have a battery pack set arranged in a colored hanging mason jar. I use it for night lighting and as a lantern if I'm alking around and do t wish to turn lights on. These types of l I ghts are often marketed as big nearly invisible in their workings, creating the illusion of fireflies or fairies. HOwever, with a huge cumbersome battery pack, such as the other type I have, or the stationary nature of a USB plug in, I am unable to achieve the effects I would like. I would also like to see strands that can connect, as all are uite limited. Perhaps a strand that runs off a charge would be a solution?
Overall a good product for a great price!
I have had photo clip lights but I wanted a string light with more clips. I am so happy with this string lights. I live how o am able to choose between batteries or usb plug AND it comes with a remote control where I have the option to control the beam light settings and turn on and off.
