I LOVE this thing! I've been using it to cut rebar, concrete, Cinderblocks, and bricks for a Pizza Oven project. I've had no problems at all and this angle grinder has more than enough power for everything I need. I just wish I got the 5" version for making brick cutting easier. The Ergonomics were weird at first, then I rotated the cutting head, Now, it is PERFECT. I recommend anyone who buys this angle grinder to unscrew the 4 screws at the head (just follow the directions in the user manual) and give it a twist so the paddle us facing up (with the handle). I feel like this configuration is much more intuitive and the ergonomics are now PERFECT!
Love the extra RPM of this unit and the build quality is very nice. I use it for grinding and removing rust and has never given me problems.
My only complaint is the button that is used to keep the unit running without the depressing the paddle is awkward to use.
Since the paddle is so large, using the button requires some hand gymnastics to first get it pushed in, then to move your hands in a way that doesn't hit the paddle which disengages the button.
Working in construction I need heavy duty tools that won’t break down.
I have purchased almost every big name tool brand.
Dewalt, Milwaukee, Metabo, porter cable, but this Bosch grinder has been one of the best I’ve ever had.
It works hard and doesn’t stop.
I will continue to buy these for years to come.
I really like this grinder. I purchased it to replace a harbor freight grinder I’ve had for years as my secondary grinder. My primary was a Makita. I use two grinders all the time. I usually put a cut-off wheel in one and a grinding disk in the other or a sanding disk in one and grinding in the other. Prevents me from changing wheels during a project. I am impressed with this grinder. It will replace my Makita as my go to grinder for the heavier jobs. It’s much more powerful and I love the grip trigger. Once I got used to it I now miss it on my other grinder. This is a larger mire powerful grinder that what I replaced. It’s really good. I highly recommend.
Love the power and the fact it doesn't burn up in 20 minutes like a Harbor Freight model. Still getting used to paddle switch with safety lock. It's tough to operate with gloves. Might just superglue the safety lock and have it as a paddle only.

Description
The Bosch GWS10-45P 4-1/2-Inch Angle Grinder with Paddle Switch provides a multi-grip paddle switch for user control and comfort. It also delivers more power than previous-generation models - 10 amps and 11,500 rpm. It has directed air flow that diverts dust away from vital components and it has direct-motor cooling, giving it higher overload capabilities. For operator comfort and control, it sports a two-position Vibration Control side handle, making it less jarring to run. It was designed for all-day jobs in machinery manufacturing, metal fabrication and construction. It has a burst-protection quick tool less adjustable guard and a large spindle lock for more convenient disc change. The Service Minder brushes stop the grinder when preventative maintenance is required.
This grinder is outstanding. I bought this specific Bosch model because of the switch. It is very easy to depress / release with gloved hands. I normally buy yellow and black tools but the switch alone on this Bosch model sold me. I have used Bosch grinders before with the low vibe handle and liked them. This model has a low vibe handle and certainly makes a difference. The transmitted vibration to the hand is less than a standard grinder. I primarily use it for wire wheels and grinding wheels on steel. It has all the power I need. It is a quality tool made in Germany.
I use one of these at work and I like it so much that when it finally started having problems I'd repair it and eventually purchased one myself because my company switched to Milwaukee and they have no balls at all!
I paid a bit more for the higher amp rated angle grinder and have been very satisfied. It is not in the least challenged with the keen-cutter dish carving disk. I'd buy it again but do not think there will be any need for that.
what a great too. replacing a yellow tool that self destructed. this tool is 10X the tool, smooth powerful and well balanced. some didn't like the paddle switch but i love it. you can tell it is not a chinese made tool.
Great heavy duty 4.5" grinder. A word of caution though... This is a large and heavy grinder. Unless you are really serious about heavy duty grinding, you may want to get a lighter less powerful unit.
